🏆 WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT | Okbaby Foldable Baby Bathtub

Congratulations to Diego Castrillo Perez, winner of the Okbaby Foldable Baby Bathtub contest!

Launched by Okbaby with Desall, the contest invited designers to imagine a new foldable baby bathtub for infants aged 0–12 months: safe, functional, easy to carry, and designed to reduce its overall dimensions when stored.

The challenge focused on portability, safety, ease of use, and technical feasibility, asking participants to rethink an everyday baby-care product through a contemporary and practical design approach.

Thank you to all the designers who took part in the challenge and shared their ideas for a more compact, intuitive, and reliable bathing experience!

🚀 NEW CONTEST | Phygital HORECA Experience Design

The future of coffee experiences is becoming increasingly connected.

Physical spaces, digital services, customer journeys and brand interactions are shaping new ways for people to discover, choose and experience products in the HORECA channel.

A leading international coffee producer, together with Desall, invites you to research and develop phygital service concepts for coffee shops, bakery cafés, retail chains and other relevant contexts.

The challenge is to analyze real case studies, identify meaningful interaction models and design an original phygital concept for the coffee sector.

You are asked to submit:

→ 1 benchmark from an independent HORECA business
→ 1 benchmark from a HORECA retail chain
→ 1 benchmark from a non-HORECA context
→ 1 original phygital concept designed for the coffee sector

Your proposal should connect physical touchpoints and digital interactions to enhance the customer experience, increase brand visibility and create value beyond the point of sale.

🚀 NEW CONTEST | Perfume Refill Cap Design

How can we make perfume refill at home simple, safe, and elegant?

A leading multinational company in the packaging industry, together with Desall, invites you to design a new refill dispensing cap for perfume bottles.

The challenge is to create a reusable cap that allows users to transfer fragrance from a refill container to a perfume bottle through an intuitive and controlled process, while preventing leaks, spills, contamination, and direct contact with the liquid.

Your concept should combine:

→ simplicity of use
→ safety during refilling
→ technical feasibility
→ premium aesthetics
→ sustainability and reusability
→ compatibility with existing perfume packaging

The solution should feel easy to assemble, use, and remove, without complex procedures or dedicated tools. Clean, contemporary, and customizable concepts will be especially valued.

Desall at Shenzhen Milan Lifestyle Week!

We are proud to share that Desall was invited to the Shenzhen Milan Lifestyle Week, an important occasion dedicated to dialogue and collaboration between the Italian and Chinese design communities.

During the event, Desall signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association (SIDA), reinforcing a collaboration that has been active since 2018, when Desall became SIDA’s reference platform for Italy. The agreement further strengthens the China–Italy Design Platform Partnership, fostering continued collaboration between the two design ecosystems.

For designers, this means being part of a growing international network where creative talent, companies, and institutions can meet, exchange perspectives, and develop new design opportunities.

From Italy to Shenzhen, Desall continues to connect designers with global innovation challenges.

🚀 PROJECT ON THE MARKET | EASI

Light changes the way we experience a space. EASI was designed to make that control simple, immediate, and intuitive.

EASI is a compact wireless control system created to manage LED lighting through an easy and natural interaction.

Born from the Easi Remote Control Transmitter contest launched by Domus Line with Desall, the project started from a clear design challenge: rethink the remote control for lighting fixtures as a small, ergonomic object, easy to use, easy to place, and consistent with contemporary interiors.

The selected concept moved from idea to product development and is now part of the Domus Line catalogue as EASI.

🚀 YOUR SNACK CONCEPT COULD BECOME REALITY. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS.

The Gelato & Pizza Experience contest showed us something: when you give designers the freedom to create complete concepts—product, brand, identity, packaging—the best ideas rise to the top.
Hundreds of designers participated. Got visibility. Built their portfolios. Some caught the attention of industry players. Like Mr. Fingers—an edible spoon shaped like monster fingers that eliminates plastic waste while eating ice cream.

Now we're doing it again with snacks.

Did you know a project born from the Desall community became a Leroy Merlin product?

It's called Tentacolo: an LED applique for the bathroom, with a compact and minimal design, created to bring light in a simple and functional way to domestic spaces.
The project was born within the Leroy Merlin contest "Light On and Take Care".
For a designer, seeing a concept go through all the phases, (brief, selection, development, testing, industrialization, sales) is one of the most concrete confirmations of the value of your work.
