Era il 1998 quando il cantiere di La Rochelle, Amel, decise di mettere in produzione una riedizione di una barca veramente notevole, il Super Maramu, evolvendolo nelle misure e dotazioni fino al Super Maramu 2000. Un ketch lungo 16 metri, con un baglio massimo di 4 metri e 60 centimetri. Si fa notare per la qualitร dei materiali utilizzati, per lโelevato livello delle finiture e per le indiscusse qualitร marine. Come per ogni altra imbarcazione prodotta e progettata dalla coppia Amel/Carteau, si ha lโimpressione che ogni minimo dettaglio sia stato attentamente studiato per assecondare i desideri dellโarmatore.
