Another piece from the Catharsis collection in black.
Differing from every angle, it's entirely handcrafted, starting with a design and a few elements that serve as proportions during the creation process. The black stone comprises only dark-colored Italian stones and earths. The final texture, whose intensity diminishes as the natural treatment spread over the surface absorbs, is achieved through multiple polishing steps and the use of plant-based substances inherited from medieval and Renaissance techniques.

A slow transformation of mineral fragments and natural pigments into solid matter, without cement, resins or synthetic blinders, inspired by ancient Roman mineral craftsmanship principles.

Mineral fragments are selected,measured and combined into a material developed through continuous research.

After shaping the semi-solid mass by hand, each surface is carved and refined, before the final surface treatments.

Hand-sculpted vessels in mineral stone and flame-worked glass.

Catharsis Collection and explores transformation through fracture and recomposition of matter, drawing from the Latin meaning of catharsis as purification through release.
The glass is flame-worked and shaped entirely by hand, without molds, and the stone is gradually sculpted until a precise structural fit with the glass is achieved.

The stone draws inspiration from Roman mineral craftsmanship traditions and is developed through proprietary mineral-based processes, without cement or synthetic binders. Unlike subtractive carving approaches, the form is first generated through a controlled, continuous formation of material, requiring precision and timing before any refinement takes place.
