We are thrilled to announce that under the consortium led by EPRD, ARS Progetti, as Lead Implementing Partner, has been awarded the project: " GA 2024 (B2) Culture Identification Study” (FWC-SEA-2023 Lot 12).
As part of this initiative, our project aims to carry out a mapping study of the current trends and the existing international cultural cooperation efforts in Neighbourhood South (Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon). Specifically, ARS Progetti team of experts will be:
🔍 conducting a gap analysis and needs assessment

🤝 Providing support and formulate recommendations to the Contracting Authority to design a possible project to support cultural actors, including in difficult (read restrictive) environments.

🚀 Exciting News! 🚀

We are thrilled to announce our role as the Lead Implementing Partner under the EPRD Consortium, to be working hand in hand with the INTPA B1 for “Support Services to the EU Programme Inclusive Societies in LAC: Social Dimension of the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda”, with a total duration of 35 months and a maximum budget of 1 million EUR. We are set to provide crucial technical assistance to strengthen the Global Gateway Investment Agenda (GGIA) development and implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean, by facilitating the coordination between the GGIA initiatives and related actions in the Human Development Sector.

The Specific objectives are:

• Supporting the roll-out of the Team Europe Initiative “Inclusive and Equitable Societies” and the successful implementation of the EU Programme “Inclusive Societies in LAC” in all its dimensions;
• Support the coordination and alignment of the TEI with the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda, contributing to its implementation according to the principles and values of the Global Gateway Strategy, and supporting the materialisation of its actions.
• Contribute to enhance the social dimension of the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda from a 360º approach, by building synergies with related actions in the field of human development and by identifying opportunities and good practices at regional/country level.
• Provide advice and technical support to the European Commission in the design and implementation of EU external actions in the field of human development, so as to fulfil the overall goal of the RMIP 2021- 27 of promoting social cohesion and fighting inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

🌍🚀 A.R.S. Progetti's Mission to the Emirates: Preserving Heritage and Revitalizing Urban Spaces 🚀🌍

On October 9, 2024, A.R.S. Progetti carried out an on-site inspection at the Al Ain Palace Museum project area, preparing for the upcoming "neutralization" of architectural elements that were added in 2000 and currently obscure the historic Palace of Sheikh Bin Zayed.

The project envisions the restoration of the Palace's architectural complex and the revitalization of the surrounding urban area, establishing a direct connection to the main entrance of the Al Ain Oasis. This initiative aims to celebrate cultural heritage while enhancing urban spaces, blending history with modern accessibility.

Our dedication to cultural preservation and sustainable urban development continues to guide our work, as we strive to transform historic sites into vibrant and inclusive spaces for all. 🏛️🌱

🚀 Exciting News from A.R.S. Progetti S.p.A.! 🚀
In October 2024, we proudly launched the EU-funded project “Communication and Visibility of Justice Reforms in Armenia” aimed at boosting public awareness about Armenia’s ongoing judicial reforms and their positive impact on citizens' lives and the country’s democratic progress.
📜 As part of the project, A.R.S. Progetti collaborated with Armenia’s Ministry of Justice to create the Ministry's first-ever Communication Plan, setting the stage for transparent and effective communication on the reforms. This ensures that the Armenian public receives consistent and accurate updates about the justice sector.
🗣️ Nationwide Awareness Campaign:
The project brought the reforms to the forefront, highlighting key areas such as mediation, arbitration, and e-justice. Nearly 100 lawyers, civil society representatives, and journalists engaged in community discussions across five cities, fostering direct dialogue with the Ministry of Justice and the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of Armenia. These events provided valuable insights and strengthened understanding of the reforms.
🎥 Engaging the Public Through Media:
We produced 3 posters and 6 video clips explaining the reforms and showcasing their practical benefits. These materials will be widely distributed to help build public trust in the justice system and emphasize the importance of the reforms.
🔍 Strengthening Transparency & Trust
The primary goal is to enhance public trust in Armenia’s justice institutions by improving transparency and the communication of reforms. This project is a vital step toward solidifying the credibility of Armenia’s justice sector, ensuring the public is well-informed and supportive.
🤝 A Longstanding EU-Armenia Partnership:
Since 2009, the European Union has been a key partner in Armenia’s judicial and legal reforms, playing an instrumental role in developing a more independent, transparent, and accountable justice system. The EU’s ongoing collaboration continues to support critical reforms and anti-corruption efforts, making Armenia’s justice sector stronger than ever.

💥 REGENERA Project: Housing and Open Spaces Design

➡️ We’re excited to share more progress in our "REGENERA: Integrated Requalification of the Chamanculo 'C' Neighborhood in Maputo" project. Our latest efforts focus on the preliminary technical design for new housing units and the revitalization of key open spaces, crucial for supporting families and businesses that will be impacted by improvements to the storm-water drainage systems and the rehabilitated road network. Design
Our designs include bifamily and trifamily row houses, as well as small multi-family buildings. These unit-house are designed to be functional, comfortable, and expandable over time, ensuring they remain accessible and adaptable to residents' needs. Sustainability is at the core, with local materials and energy-efficient practices being prioritized.

Spaces Revitalization
We’re creating two vital two vibrant and and inclusive public spaces: Praça Estrela and the Cape Cape football field.

Cape Cape Enhancements:
🟢 Adding basketball courts, climbing walls, and urban gym elements.
🟢 Improving sanitation and drainage.
🟢 Creating a vibrant environment for sports and social activities, with playful features designed to be inclusive and engaging for children and women

Praça Estrela Improvements:
🟢 New play areas and engaging features, such as traditional games like checkers and ntchuva, for both adults and childrenEnhanced lighting, seating, and drainage.

Strengthening Peace and Human Rights in El Salvador

➡️ Between December 2023 and May 2024, we embarked on a transformative journey in San Salvador, El Salvador, conducting the final evaluation of the joint program "Strengthening Peace and Human Rights: through Transitional Justice, Combating Corruption, and Promoting Transparency", financed by UNDP. This initiative has been a beacon of hope and progress in addressing the shadows of the past and building a brighter, transparent future.

🎯Our primary goal was to explore how effectively the project has promoted the pillars of transitional justice. By addressing historical impunity and bolstering transparency, we aimed to strike a blow against current-day corruption and injustice.

💪 The evaluation was an enlightening process, unearthing valuable lessons and innovative practices that will shape the future of peace consolidation programs. We assessed the project's foundational theory and scrutinized its strategies and performance. This deep dive allowed us to pinpoint the unique contributions of the Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) to national peace efforts and highlight the novel elements that set this program apart.

🟢Our team of consultants conducted over 100 interviews across a spectrum of state institutions, social organizations, and with the very victims the project aimed to support. Visits to memory museums and reviews of historical archives provided rich context and depth to our findings. This rigorous process not only assessed the project's direct impact but also revealed its broader, catalytic effects on the community and beyond.

👉The insights gained will serve as a compass for the implementing agencies—UNDP, OHCHR, and UNODC—as well as the Office of the Resident Coordinator and the Peacebuilding Fund. These findings will inform and inspire future initiatives, ensuring they are rooted in the lessons learned and driven by the best practices identified during this evaluation.

💯This journey has reinforced our commitment to fostering a fair, transparent, and peaceful society in El Salvador. We are excited to see how these findings will catalyze further progress and create lasting positive changes.

🚀 Successful Mission in Mozambique! 🚀

We are excited to share the progress of our recent mission in Mozambique for the project "Serviços de Consultoria para a Elaboração do Projecto Técnico de Engenharia, do Estudo de Impacto Ambiental e Social (EIAS), para a Prestação de Assistência Técnica das Obras de Construção de Infra-Estruturas Habitacionais, Rodoviárias e de Drenagem do Bairro Chamanculo 'C' na Cidade de Maputo e de Elaboração e Implementação do Plano de Acção para o Reassentamento e Reordenamento de Famílias e Comunidades Afectadas pela Realização das Obras" financed by the Italian Agency of Cooperation and Development (AICS).

Our team at ARS Progetti has been working diligently on this transformative project, and we are pleased to report that everything is progressing smoothly and all stakeholders are satisfied with the developments.

Key highlights of the project include:

🏘️ Infrastructure Development: Engineering technical designs for housing, roads, public spaces and drainage systems that will enhance the living conditions in Bairro Chamanculo 'C'.
🌱 Environmental and Social Impact Study (EIAS): Comprehensive assessments to ensure sustainable and socially responsible project implementation.
🔧 Technical Assistance: Ongoing support for the construction phases, ensuring high standards and efficiency.
📋 Reallocation and Reorganization Plan: Carefully crafted plans for the reallocation and reorganization of families and communities impacted by the construction works, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum benefit while taking into account the social and economic benefits for the whole neighborhood.

This mission is a testament to our commitment to improving urban infrastructure and community well-being. We are grateful for the collaboration and support from all partners involved, and we look forward to continuing this impactful work.

Additionally, the Project was visited on 9th July by the high level mission from the and held in Maputo at the presence of the client, Ministry of Public Works, Housing & Water Resources as well as the Municipality and public administration.

Our dedicated team from ARS Progetti, including our Managing Director and experts in planning and engineering, recently explored Butrint's World Heritage Site and National Park, shaping sustainable traffic and visitor management strategies.

🌍✨ Exciting Update from Tanzania!

On Monday, April 30th, 2024, ARS Progetti had the honor of collaborating with the European Union Delegation in Tanzania for a remarkable event: "Meeting Youth and EU Ambassadors" at Sokoine University in Morogoro.

The event was a pivotal moment for fostering dialogue and collaboration, as it featured EU consultations with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and youth, along with the Youth Sounding Board. This initiative was made possible through the EU funded project "Framework Contract to Support CSO Programme".
