"L’Enquête Nationale sur l’Emploi au Sénégal (ENES) de 2015 est la première d’une série d’enquêtes sur l’emploi qui à terme vont se réaliser sur une base trimestrielle. Elle aborde les questions prioritaires sur le marché du travail et permet de mesurer les principaux indicateurs que sont, entre autres, le taux d’activité, le taux d’occupation, le taux de chômage. L’enquête a examiné les mesures entreprises et les stratégies développées pour faire face aux contraintes et difficultés du marché du travail. Elle a abordé également les questions relatives aux conditions d’exercice des activités. Les informations sur l’activité sont recueillies auprès de la population de 10 ans et plus."

Gender statistics in Italy means also inquiring gender violence.According to a survey ISTAT more than 6 million women aged 16 to 70 years have suffered physical or sexual abuse in their lifetime. Perpetrators are unknown (15.3%), or people known superficially (6.3%), sometimes seemingly unexpected as friends (3%), colleagues (2.6%), relatives (2.1 %), partners (7.2%) or former partner (17.4%).

La violenza domestica rappresenta un incubo per molte donne e bambini, costretti a vivere in un regime di terrore proprio nel luogo in cui dovrebbero essere più al sicuro: la propria casa. Un incubo diffuso anche in Europa, che può colpire le vittime in modi meno teatrali, ma certo non meno dolorosi…

Il tema viene trattato anche da Istat che ha sviluppato un approccio multidimensionale per misurare il “benessere equo e sostenibile” (Bes) che integra l’indicatore dell’attività economica, Il Pil, con misure delle fondamentali dimensioni sociali e ambientali del benessere, e con misure di diseguaglianza e sostenibilità economica, sociale e ambientale.
L’iniziativa pone l’Italia nel gruppo dei paesi (Francia, Germania, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti, Australia, Irlanda, Messico, Svizzera, Olanda) che hanno deciso di misurare il benessere e la qualità della vita della società.
