🌅 The dawn of a new project.
As the sun rises over our foundry, a new challenge takes shape at Fondinox S.p.A.

We are starting an ambitious project involving the production of large super duplex stainless steel castings for multistage pumps, supplied fully machined.

⚙️ The challenge goes far beyond size.
The combination of material and complex geometry, demanding project specifications, and a production process that includes CNC milling to mylar conformity and complete machining will put our expertise to the test at every stage. From the first light over the foundry to the component taking shape on the shop floor, these two images capture the beginning of that journey.

🔬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐊 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐱!

We are proud to announce the renewal and extension of our 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐊 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, including new approvals for 𝐆𝐑 𝟔𝐀 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, both horizontal and vertical.

The new qualifications include:
⚙️ 𝐆𝐑 𝟔𝐀 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 – up to 100 mm thickness
⚙️ 𝐆𝐑 𝟔𝐀 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 – up to 200 mm thickness

These new approvals come alongside the requalification of our existing NORSOK qualifications, including GR 6A castings and CW6MC centrifugal castings, confirming our continuous commitment to meeting the highest industry standards.

Today, Fondinox stands out as the foundry with the 𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬.

This means that, alongside traditional sand castings, we can provide the Oil & Gas industry with centrifugal castings for rings, seats, flanges, cones and heavy-wall tubes, including components that cannot be produced using conventional casting technologies.

These premium Inconel 625 cast components - a multistage inner casing, barrel casing, and its cover - still have a long journey ahead through the many complex stages of our foundry process. Precision, expertise, and rigorous quality control will accompany them every step of the way.

Once completed, they will come together to form a pump designed for some of the most demanding operating environments, joining the other pumps already produced for this challenging and prestigious project.

From molten metal to mission-critical performance, every component reflects our commitment to excellence and reliability.

Cutting-edge thinking, innovation, tradition and technology have always been integral to stainless steels; today, however, the focus is on a value that has accompanied them since their very beginning: .

Indeed, there are materials that are 100% and able to withstand the most demanding environments and processes without degrading – safely and without the use of corrosion-preventive chemicals.
