Every year we try to choose a gift that actually makes sense.
This one was easy.
When coffee runs out in the office, things get… complicated.
So yes, we got coffee.
But not just any coffee:
it’s sustainably produced by a community of women in Guatemala,
because energy should come with responsibility.
And since thinking long-term is kind of our thing, we also planted a forest, something that keeps growing long after the last espresso.
Coffee for the present.
Roots for the future.

has just concluded, and we want to celebrate it with a significant achievement 🏆Thanks to our collaboration with the UK branch of and Unibap, we've successfully completed the in-orbit demonstration (IOD) of our flagship product, orbital_OLIVER, as part of the InCubed+ program powered by

In this IOD, orbital_OLIVER demonstrated its ability to improve the platform's performance by ensuring more efficient management of the satellite's electrical power battery resources and by enhancing the usage of the onboard telecommunications systems.
All of this in complete autonomy from the Mission Control Center. Autonomy made easy 🚀

As lovers of challenges, we couldn't miss Game Jam 2023! We are proud sponsors of the Fail/Safe Game Jam in Turin, where participants take on a truly ambitious project: building a video game in just 48 hours! 🎮

💡Did you know that we use the same virtual reality software as gaming to train our AI? Same tools but with different goals: the language of an AI is very different from that of a human, and stimulating its 'senses' leads us to create hyper-realistic virtual environments, very different from the aesthetically pleasing ones of a video game.

Who knows, maybe at this Game Jam, a virtual world perfect for our algorithms will be born! 🚀

Three questions to Riccardo Maderna, our Head of Automation.

🌟What's your dream?
Riccardo: I don’t really have a long-term dream, I prefer being adaptable and flexible with my goals. I focus on finding a balance, even harmony, between my passions and current life events. This way, I can be coherent with who I am in the present moment and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way… but also miss some of them when I’m lazy.

🚀Why did you decide to work in the space industry?
Riccardo: I want to work in a thought-provoking and significant field. While making a substantial impact would be ideal, my priority is to be a part of a sector that is relevant at present. Space fulfilled all the criteria, so when an opportunity opened in AIKO, I took that chance!

🎺Lindy Hop?
Riccardo: Yeah, right? No one ever expects that. People usually perceive me as the typical introverted individual who values orderliness and avoids blunders. And while that’s true, I also like to dance, under suitable circumstances and styles. And frankly, outside of work I much prefer talking about music, arts and whatsoever is different from technology. But let’s not underline this too much, I’m still not much in chit-chatting.
