E&D main activities are focused on providing managers and entrepreneurs the competencies, knowledge and tools needed to successfully implement and execute innovation strategies in their organisations, but also to foster innovation in their environment. The key areas of E&D specialisation include:
1/ support to introduction of innovation operations of organisations - from innovation audits through support to defining and implementing innovation strategies, to developing innovation processes and mechanisms adapted to individual needs of organisations.
2/ ensuring access to proper skills and competencies required for successful innovation, among leaders and managers, as well as employees. While products of E&D are individually defined based on specific needs of each organisation, the most approached by E&D topics cover:
-> Building proper understanding of innovation among professionals in non- and low-tech sectors (especially in tourism and hospitality, agro-food, industrial and service sectors) and their ability to implement innovation process and turn their innovation efforts into profit (financial, as well as social),
-> Development and innovation of business models, with a special focus on their application for building resilience to market changes and building innovation-oriented strategies for economic sustainability,
-> Support to creative processes and ideation for innovation,
-> Development of innovation mindset among individuals and across organisations,
-> Development of mechanisms and culture for innovation,
-> Development of entrepreneurial and soft skills,
-> Collaboration for innovation (skills, mechanisms and tools for relationship building and open innovation). To serve our customers to the highest standards, our team provides consultations (support for innovation implementation and development of strategies, tools and mechanisms), workshops, training and mentoring in the areas related with innovation and entrepreneurship. To that end, the E&D team integrates specialists from across different areas relevant for support of innovation and entrepreneurship, but with strong competencies in delivering professional training and supporting development of competencies of individuals and organisations, but also performing research and developing new solutions relevant to meet our customers’ needs.

Working across generations can be challenging. At MYCo - Meet Your Colleague we work on tools to breach barriers between generations and support effective collaboration between colleagues, independently from the age and background.

During this week workshops in Torino we had the opportunity to test initial version of the MyCo online game and online tools and define further development directions.

Across Europe, women in male-dominated sectors still face the challenges of masculine workplace cultures.

Today, we met with our 4equality partners from Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, and Cyprus to finalize improvements to bias prevention and coping training for girls and women who are considering or starting careers in tech, business, or science.

We also worked on facilitator tools for educators and youth workers interested in supporting their adaptation to these cultures and helping them progress in leading industries.

Are you a big contributor to overtourism?

👉 Overtourism isn’t just a policy problem, it’s also about everyday choices.
🌍 We often think overtourism is caused by “too many tourists,” but in reality, we all contribute to it, sometimes without realising.
Where we go, when we travel, what we post, and how we behave all shape the pressure on destinations.

The good news? Small changes can make a big difference.
To avoid contributing to damage to cultural heritage, fragile places, and the suffocation of local communities:
✅Choose less obvious destinations - explore villages, secondary cities, cultural routes
✅Travel off-season or during shoulder seasons - avoid pressure to travel during key holiday peaks,
✅Engage with culture, not just sights - choose local accommodation, food, guides, crafts,
✅Be mindful online when sharing or exposing fragile places.
Choosing how we travel is choosing the kind of tourism we support!

On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, at E&D Knowledge Consulting we celebrate the achievements of women in STEM and reaffirm our commitment to improving access, participation, and long-term success for women in science, technology, engineering, and business.

To actively support women’s participation and advancement in STEM and other male-dominated fields, we are engaged in initiatives such as the 4equality project. Our goal is not only to contribute to shifting male-oriented cultures, but also to empower women to thrive despite potential gender-related challenges and biases.

Through practical tools designed for educators, youth workers, institutions, and women interested or active in STEM, we work to:
✔️ Challenge stereotypes
✔️ Strengthen girls’ confidence and professional identity
✔️ Clarify career pathways
✔️ Equip young women with strategies to address and cope with gender bias

Among other resources, we promote concrete, evidence-based approaches to increasing women’s participation in STEM. ⬇️

In a rapidly changing world, education faces the critical challenge of developing more adaptive and flexible curricula that respond to the real needs of future industries and can quickly adjust to emerging developments and transitions.

SkillWiz project partners met in Valencia to discuss foresight and the development of foresight skills as a way to prepare VET teachers and trainers to deliver future-oriented education that responds to real labour market needs.

Building on this work, SkillWiz will present a foresight competency framework and training programme designed to support the VET sector in meeting these challenges.

Last week, we had the great pleasure of hosting train-the-trainer workshops on supporting organisations in managing cross-generational work environments and fostering effective collaboration in multigenerational teams, as part of the MYCo - Meet Your Colleague project.
Over three days of activities, we not only explored methods for addressing stereotypes and barriers within multigenerational teams, but also introduced our international colleagues from Italy, Ireland, Germany, and Poland to the unique context of Porto - a perfect setting for the training, with its vibrant blend of youthful rebellious energy, deep-rooted tradition, and a strong drive toward innovation.

Following the training, we are now preparing to implement workshops on this topic within Portuguese organisations.

🎉 We’re very excited to announce the official kick-off of our Erasmus+ project: SkillWIZ: VET Foresight Academy!
Together with partners from Poland, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain and Italy, we’re launching a 24-month journey to help VET educators gain the foresight skills needed to prepare learners for the jobs of tomorrow.

🚀 The kick-off meeting marked the beginning of an ambitious collaboration that will support VET trainers across Europe in becoming foresight practitioners capable of preparing learners not only for today’s labour market, but for the multiple futures that may emerge.

We look forward to sharing more updates as SkillWIZ evolves. Stay tuned!
