Let’s continue our journey through the Italian regions and discover Valle d’Aosta!

Italy’s smallest region may be tiny on the map, but it is surrounded by some of Europe’s greatest mountains and filled with a character all its own. Between Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa, medieval castles, alpine villages and ancient stretches of the via Francigena, this land tells centuries of stories shaped by its position between Italy and French-speaking world. Ready to explore Valle d’Aosta with us? **e

Here the Alps dominate everything. Monte Bianco, the highest mountain in Western Europe, rises above Courmayeur

Monte Rosa marks the eastern side of the region with glaciers, high valleys and dramatic alpine landscapes

For centuries, this valley has been a natural passage between Italy and northern Europe. The ancient Via Francigena crosses the region through the Great St Bernard Pass, following a route once travelled by pilgrims on their way to Rome.
Its strategic importance also explains the extraordinary number of castles scattered across the valley. Fénis, Issogne, Verrès and many others tell the story of noble families, fortified villages and a territory that controlled important routes through the Alps

The food is just as deeply connected to the mountains. Fontina is the great cheese of the region and the heart of dishes such as fonduta and polenta concia

It’s a place of high peaks, stone castles, mountain vineyards and traditions shaped by centuries of life between Italy, France and Switzerland

A small region with enormous personality

Let’s continue our journey through the Italian regions and discover Umbria! A land of rolling hills, medieval towns, ancient monasteries, great food and powerful w**es it may remind you of Tuscany — vineyards, olive groves, hilltop villages and countryside stretching to the horizon — but Umbria remains quieter, less celebrated and, in many ways, more intimate.
Assisi is its spiritual heart, forever connected to Saint Francis, whose message of simplicity and connection with nature still shapes the atmosphere of this extraordinary place.
For centuries, monks and religious communities have been part of the Umbrian landscape, preserving traditions, cultivating the land and leaving behind monasteries, abbeys and places filled with history.
Then there is Perugia, elegant and lively, with Etruscan roots, medieval streets and one of Italy’s most fascinating historic centers.
Umbria is also the home of Norcia and the tradition of norcineria — extraordinary cured meats, prosciutto, salami and pork specialties that have become famous throughout Italy.
And the w**es?
From the powerful Sagrantino di Montefalco to Grechetto and the historic w**es of Orvieto, Umbria has a w**e identity all its own.

Let’s continue our journey through the Italian regions and discover Trentino–Alto Adige!

A land of dramatic landscapes and deeply rooted traditions, Trentino–Alto Adige has a distinctive border culture shaped by centuries of exchange between the Italian world and the legacy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The Dolomites dominate the landscape with their dramatic peaks and changing colors, while alpine lakes add an almost magical atmosphere.

The region is also renowned for its delicate and sophisticated white w**es, made from grape varieties such as Kerner, Pinot Bianco and Gewürztraminer. Many vineyards grow on steep mountain slopes and at high altitudes, where working the land requires extraordinary dedication. This form of heroic viticulture produces w**es that express the freshness, minerality and unique character of the Alpine territory.

The local cuisine reflects this fascinating cultural heritage, combining Italian flavors with Austrian and Tyrolean traditions.

Trentino–Alto Adige is a land of contrasts: Italian and German-speaking, Mediterranean and Alpine, shaped by mountains, history and a fascinating border identity.

Let’s continue our journey through the Italian regions and discover Toscana!

Tuscany is a land where history, art, w**e and food come together in a way that feels completely natural. Its story begins long before the Renaissance, with the mysterious Etruscans, whose legacy can still be found in ancient towns, archaeological sites and traditions across the region.

Florence became one of the great cultural capitals of Europe under the Medici family, supporting artists and thinkers who shaped the Renaissance. Siena offers a completely different atmosphere, with its medieval streets, the magnificent Piazza del Campo and the passion of the Palio, one of Italy’s most iconic historic events.

Then there are the hill towns: Volterra, with its Etruscan roots and alabaster craftsmanship; San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers; and Lucca, still surrounded by perfectly preserved Renaissance walls that can be explored on foot or by bicycle.
Pisa adds another unforgettable chapter, with its magnificent Piazza dei Miracoli, the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery—an extraordinary ensemble that reflects the city’s medieval power and artistic ambition.

Tuscany is also one of Italy’s most celebrated w**e regions. Sangiovese is the soul of many of its greatest w**es, from Chianti and Chianti Classico to Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Each territory expresses the grape differently, shaped by altitude, soil, climate and centuries of w**emaking tradition.

The food is simple, seasonal and deeply connected to the land: ribollita, pappa al pomodoro, panzanella, handmade pici, wild boar, Florentine steak, pecorino cheese, extra virgin olive oil and rustic bread traditionally made without salt.

And no Tuscan meal is truly complete without Vin Santo and cantucci, the classic almond biscuits traditionally dipped into the sweet w**e.

From Renaissance masterpieces and medieval villages to family w**eries, countryside tables and unforgettable landscapes, Tuscany offers much more than a destination. It offers a way to experience Italy through its culture, flavours and people.
