🤔E se, oltre a raccontare quello che facciamo, provassimo a misurare il cambiamento che produciamo?
Lo scorso anno abbiamo realizzato, insieme alla Cooperativa Insieme Si Può, la valutazione di impatto del progetto “Crescere insieme”, un intervento rivolto a bambini e ragazzi e realizzato nell’ambito dell’Avviso “Educare insieme” della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri – Dipartimento per le politiche della famiglia.
Abbiamo utilizzato la metodologia SROI – Social Return on Investment per analizzare non soltanto le attività realizzate, ma soprattutto i cambiamenti prodotti dal progetto sulle persone e sul territorio.
Il risultato?
93.372,68 € di valore sociale generato a fronte di un investimento di 63.000 €, pari a 1,48 € di valore sociale per ogni euro investito. Per un progetto breve, un risultato notevole!
Ma per noi il valore di una valutazione di impatto non sta soltanto nel numero finale.
Sta nel processo che permette di capire cosa ha funzionato, per chi, in che modo e con quali effetti. E, soprattutto, cosa possiamo imparare per progettare e realizzare interventi ancora più efficaci.
È per questo che in Alterevo ci occupiamo anche di valutazione di impatto sociale: affianchiamo organizzazioni, enti e progetti nella costruzione di percorsi di valutazione capaci di trasformare i dati e l'esperienza degli stakeholder in conoscenza utile per prendere decisioni.
Perché valutare non dovrebbe essere soltanto qualcosa che si fa alla fine di un progetto.
Dovrebbe essere un modo per imparare da ciò che facciamo e migliorarlo continuamente.

What if, beyond telling the story of what we do, we also tried to measure the change we create?
Last year, together with Insieme Si Può Cooperative, we carried out an impact assessment of the “Crescere insieme” project, an initiative aimed at children and young people and implemented under the “Educare insieme” Call for Proposals promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Family Policies.
We used the SROI – Social Return on Investment methodology to analyse not only the activities carried out, but above all the changes generated by the project for people and the local community.
The result?
€93,372.68 in social value generated from an investment of €63,000, corresponding to €1.48 of social value for every euro invested.
For such a short project, that’s a remarkable result!
But for us, the value of an impact assessment is not just about the final figure.
It lies in the process that allows us to understand what worked, for whom, how and with what effects. And, above all, what we can learn in order to design and deliver even more effective interventions.
This is why at Alterevo we also work on social impact assessment: we support organisations, institutions and projects in developing evaluation processes that turn data and stakeholders’ experiences into knowledge that can inform decision-making.
Because evaluation should not be something we do only at the end of a project.
It should be a way to learn from what we do and continuously improve it.
