Relaxed Performance - A sensory-friendly show for all the family!
On Sunday 14th July we are putting on a relaxed performance of our production of Evita.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the theatre as much as we do, and we are making that happen with our sensory-friendly show. Come and join us at the theatre and experience a performance with just as much drama and talent as a regular performance!
What is a relaxed performance?
A relaxed performance is a theatre production that welcomes individuals with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum, as well as first-time theatregoers and young children.
Environmental adjustments to create a friendly, supportive environment, as well as alterations to the performance, include:
• The house lights will remain dimmed during the performance, rather than completely off
• The intensity of lighting and sound effects will be reduced
• A quiet break-out area will be available in the ‘bar area’ for those who need to take a break from the show
• There will be a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where patrons can feel comfortable during the performance and enter or exit the theatre during the performance, with the assistance of stewards
