Forklift Truck/Mechanical Engineer – Keep Guernsey Moving with Uplift Ltd!

We're Uplift Ltd, a Jersey-based company dedicated to providing top-notch maintenance and support for forklift trucks across the islands. If you're a hands-on engineer who thrives on keeping essential equipment running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.
We're seeking a Forklift Truck/Mechanical Engineer to handle the upkeep of our clients' forklift fleets, ensuring reliability and safety in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:
Carrying out maintenance, repairs, and servicing on forklift trucks at various sites around Guernsey.
Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Conducting routine inspections, testing, and compliance checks to meet industry standards.
Working independently from a company van, responding to service calls efficiently.
Collaborating with clients to provide expert advice and solutions.

What we're looking for:
Essential:
Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
A valid driver's license for operating the company van.
Bonus if you have:
Prior experience in forklift truck maintenance or similar heavy machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in mechanical environments.
