SPL were appointed as Client Representative by the States of Jersey Education Department on the Construction of a new block comprising four classrooms, toilets and stores within the grounds of Victoria College. The Works had to be organised and co-ordinated to ensure minimum disruption to College operations throughout the Term times, with particular regard to movement of students through the site, requiring close liaison between the College, contractor and client at all times. SPL identified key risks to the College, students, client and contractor, establishing and organising enabling works, temporary works and phasing of the contract in agreement with the College and clients to minimise and eliminate these risks. The Contract was delivered on time and in budget.
