Wellbeing is everywhere - but are we getting it right?

With just over two months to go until World WellBeing Week 2025 (23rd to 27th June), it’s the perfect time to pause and ask:

If wellbeing weeks don’t always work - why does this one matter?

In a world where wellbeing can be reduced to fruit bowls and free apps, we risk missing the point. A “wellbeing day” without a workload shift can leave people more stressed, not less. One-size-fits-all solutions often fall flat. And if we’re not careful, wellbeing becomes a box we tick - instead of a culture we build.

So why World WellBeing Week?

Because when done right, a week can spark lasting change.
It’s a moment to reflect, to reconnect, and to reimagine how we lead - with care, clarity, compassion, and courage.

This year’s theme?
“Beyond the Buzzwords: Building Real Cultures of Care.”

Why?
While the word ‘wellbeing’ is everywhere, the experience of wellbeing still isn’t.

But when we listen, when we collaborate, and when we lead with intention, we can create real, lasting change.

And that’s where YOU come in.

Be part of a movement that has achieved over 50 million impressions globally in previous years.

Wherever you are and whatever you do, let’s show the world what’s possible when we go beyond the buzzwords … and build cultures of genuine care.

Our Founder’s article looks at how to make this week meaningful - for you, your business, and the people you support - and why now, more than ever, wellbeing still matters.

Let’s acknowledge a truth we’ve seen play out again and again: A single week - no matter how inspiring - won’t fix systemic issues. It won’t compensate for a culture of overwork or a lack of psychological safety. It won’t transform how people feel if it’s not backed by action,…
