Today, I had the privilege of paying a courtesy call to Dr. Velton Gooden and the scientific team at the Jamaica Bureau of Standards to formally introduce them to Lisa Hanna Beauty™ and share a selection of our products.
From its inception, was never envisioned as a local brand with international aspirations. It was conceived as a global luxury skincare company from day one, formulated and manufactured in Italy, launched internationally in New York, and developed in alignment with FDA requirements, MOCRA compliance standards, European Union cosmetic regulations, and internationally recognized standards for quality, safety, and product integrity.
As a founder, I believe that if Jamaican entrepreneurs are to compete successfully on the world stage, we must build products that can stand confidently beside the very best the world has to offer, not simply in marketing, but in science, formulation, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and consumer trust.
It was therefore a pleasure to engage with Dr. Gooden and his team, whose work plays an important role in advancing standards, strengthening consumer confidence, and supporting innovation.
