Fish Farming Sector (Aquaculture) has seen better days in Jamaica. There was a time when fresh Talipia fish was air freighted to the UK back in the 1990s to 2000s
Thereafter, sadly, the export business went into demise and the local sector shrank to a shadow of its former self.
Only a few successful inland fish farmers remain as of 2019.
What was the secret of their success to remain viable and sustainable
I interviewed a couple and gained some useful insights which should help the country’s Aquaculture Sector recover.
