OUR INCREDIBLE PALAKKKK! Congrats congrats! πŸŽ‰

In some of our first conversations with Palak, it became clear that a top US university outside of the USA would be ideal for her. She has an adventurous spirit, is curious about the world around her and is a risk-taker (in the best way). NYUAD, from many conversations about the opportunities there, emerged as a top choice for her. She worked extremely hard on her projects and essays, and her application certainly stood out making her a no-brainer candidate for admission to a selective university.

She Founded a small chai-tea business called 'Masala Mug' that spread cultural awareness around a hot cup of chai, and she also donated a portion of profits to children's homes. She also Founded the 'Red Thread Initiative' raising awareness on women's issues, and donating sanitary products. She Co-Founded the Desi Diaries podcast alongside another CQ student, conducting interviews with Indian Business leaders, garnering 100+ listeners. She counseled at Moorlands, organized events at the Indian High Commission, interned at jewelry stores, and more!

Palak is such a force to be reckoned with. She is a true leader. She asks the right questions. Works diligently and calmly towards her goals. She knows what she wants and goes after it. For her passion projects, once she had the idea she went straight into EX*****ON MODE, which is so rare.

Palak we are sooo incredibly proud of you!! We know you will continue to be a mover and shaker at NYUAD. Moving to the middle east will be a difficult journey, but if there's any student who can succeed in that transition, it's you!

Parenting teenagers is hard; and no parent gets it right 100% of the time. These are simply some patterns we've noticed after years of working closely with teenagers and families, during a transitional time in their lives.

These students who thrive long term are the ones who embody these qualities, lessons, and skills. A lot of this starts much earlier than university applications; it's shaped in everyday moments at home, in conversations, in observing how the adults around them respond to stress, failure, conflict etc.

Parents, we want to hear from you too! Tell us which point resonated with you the most in the comments πŸ’™

HUGEEE CONGRATS TO THE AMAZING KARINA!

We're so proud of your hard work throughout this process Karina. You took advice, asked questions, and pushed yourself even when it was hard.

When UTampa emerged as Karina's top choice, we knew we had to get her there. As a dancer with BEAM Jamaica, and Head of the cultural dance club at school, as well as participant in the Student Activities Club, and Grandma's club (knitting/crochet), we knew that Karina had a lot to bring to the table. She's also spent several summers working in her family's business, developing leadership qualities along the way, and has organized supply drives for basic school's in need. She cares a lot about whatever community she is a part of, from Jamaica to Saint James in Maryland and now to Tampa, we know she will absolutely become a leader on and off campus.

Karina, keep shining! You are a gem, and UT is lucky to have you. ⭐️

HUGE CONGRATS TO THIS SUPERSTAR!!!

As an international student, getting into ANY university with whopping scholarships is no easy feat. Akeelia defied the odds, being admitted early to her TOP CHOICE school, with a HUGE scholarship with it!

As an aspiring chemical engineer fascinated with the link between natural hair and chemistry, Akeelia created 'The Hair Lab' where she discussed the different ways chemistry is used in the hair industry. Naturally, she also served as VP of Campion's Natural Hair Club. She was also a Senior Prefect at Campion, a part of its cheer team, a Big Sister for the Big Brother Big Sister programme, legal intern, volleyball player, and peer counselor.

And within her many extra curriculars, Akeelia still dedicated true time and care to her college prep process. Her essays were authentically HER, and she didn't hold back. That is what allowed her to shine. We can't wait to see her create the world's best natural hair care brand, or something else entirely, at Penn.

Akeelia we are so proud of you. Your hard work paid off, and Penn is truly better off gaining you as a student!

GO KILL IT AT PENNNN!!! πŸ’™πŸ’™

At CollegeQuo, we care deeply about ambition. We love driven students, learning about their goals, having discussions about topics they're curious about, and getting excited about their dreams alongside them. We want our students to care deeply about the world around them, and get excited about learning.

But lately, we've noticed that some of that is getting lost. Lost to burnout, exhaustion, performative achievement, pressure and comparison. And increasingly, lost to over-dependence on AI instead of developing original thought.

This post is about reminding students to leave room for curiosity, balance, personality, critical thinking, and a life they're excited about. A life that does not have to be written in stone as a high school student. Leave room to grow, change, learn new things, and create something cool you never thought possible.

HUGE CONGRATS TO THE INCREDIBLE PALOMAAA!! βοΈπŸŽ‰πŸš€

Paloma is a student with a huge drive for success and an even bigger heart. She truly gave her all to this process. She followed up, asked the right questions, wrote and re-wrote her essays, met deadlines, and it paid off. She will be attending her TOP CHOICE university!

She is a true all rounder, riding equestrian, even competing (and winning!) in international competitions, serving as the President of Hillel's Angels of Love chapter, founding her own non-profit called GLOW to support girls transitioning from state care to independent living, serving on Hillel's MUN team, working as a student ambassador, and served as Hillel's Deputy Head Girl of Lower School!

As a student of the sciences, she interned with the Caribbean Center for Research in Bioscience, and also founded a blog called the Doctor is HER that shares stories of Caribbean doctors, with the aim of being a role model for young girls. She also worked as a dermatology intern.

Paloma is looking to pursue a Bioengineering major at Northeastern. With her commitment to excellence and serving others, we know that she will absolutely KILL IT at Northeastern and beyond. Cannot wait to see the great things she will do! πŸ’™

Some of our past CQ students studying at Cornell!

For the 2025-2026 cycle, we have three students admitted and two who plan to attend.

Is it safe to say that Cornell loves CollegeQuo students? πŸ˜†πŸ€«

Proud of these three! Keep making moves and hold that Jamaica flag high. πŸ‡―πŸ‡²

CONGRATS TO THE INCREDIBLE KRISHHHH!!!!

Krish was absolutely determined throughout this whole process. If we had to give an award to the student who followed up the most and asked the most questions, it would be Krish! He never hesitated to schedule meetings, to reach out, ask questions whenever he was confused or stuck, or ask for help. With that attitude, we knew that he was poised for success. As a business-minded student, he came to us with two top choices: Babson College and University of Miami. After weighing both options carefully, we helped him to make the tough call to apply ED to Babson.

Krish had an awesome extra curricular profile, poised for a school like Babson. His IG Page was even noticed by Jetblue and Spirit, where he showcased his passion for aviation and photography. He renovated a local basketball court, amassing sponsorship from 12 local companies and recognized for his efforts in the newspaper. He was also Founder and Head Delegate for his school's MUN chapter, leading delegations in NY, DC and Curaçao. He was a businessman intern, President of Interact Club at ISA, and so much more.

Krish, your dedication, drive and passion will undoubtedly make you kill it in the business world! That, combined with your entrepreneurial thinking that Babson will certainly hone, will allow you to absolutely dominate in the future.

We're soooo prouddd!!!
