HUGEEE CONGRATS TO OUR INCREDIBLE PARI!!! 🌟 🌟

An absolute force to be reckoned with, Pari did NOT PLAY about this process and securing her future. She followed up, asked questions, showed up to every session, and knew exactly what outcome she wanted. And it paid off. As an international student, being admitted to any university with significant scholarships is no easy feat, much-less a highly selective university like Colgate!

Pari was a dedicated leader. She served as President of her schools's STEM club, President of the Table Tennis club, Secretary of the Math Club, VP Of Tutoring Club, Deputy Chairman of the Jamaica Prefect's Association, Co-Founder of the Desi Diaries Podcast interviewing Indians in STEM/business, Founder of Serve & Support to donate rackets, balls and a table for a primary school's table tennis team, Vice President of MUN, intern in Cool Oasis' IT department, and intern at Jamaica's first AI startup. Pari's leadership clearly stood out, as well as her strong interest in STEM, specifically computer science, and making community impact.

We have zero doubt that Pari will be a force to be reckoned with— at Colgate, and after! She is certainly a trailblazer.

We are soooo proud of you Pari!!! Congrats again!

HUGEEEE CONGRATS TO THE INCREDIBLE JESSICA!

Jessica was an absolute joy to work with, as she made our job very easy 😃 She was dedicated to this process, executed what was expected of her (brilliantly too!), stayed on top of her deadlines, and as you can see from the INSANE amount of schools she was admitted to, it certainly paid off.

Jessica is not only an academic, but she's a true leader. She served as a Senior player on Hillel's Volleyball Team, Captain of the Girls Football Team, a Senior Prefect, Vice President of Mustard Seedlings Club, Founder of Hillel's Pickleball Team, Contributor to Hillel's student-run newspaper, the Hillel Times, and more. She's written an article on women's struggles in Jamaica, published on the front page of the Observer, interned at the Office of the Children's Advocate, and Founded the 'In This Together' Movement to that organized Women Empowerment Workshops and raised funds for sanitary pads.

Jessica, you're an absolute superstar!! We know that you will do incredible things in university and beyond. ⭐️ 🎉💙

DRUM ROLL PLEASEEE!! Our stats for the 2025/26 admissions cycle are hereeee🥁

To say this was a difficult admissions year is an understatement. Every year, admissions and securing scholarships gets harder. But the increase difficulty from the 24/25 cycle to the 25/26 cycle was something we never saw in one year. Getting in seemed 5x harder, and getting scholarships/ aid even more so!

But with it all, our students still prevailed...and these stats prove it. WE ARE SOOOO PROUD OF THEM! They worked so hard throughout this process.

This year we saw:
-9 Ivy League Acceptances from 7 students
-Highly selective acceptances (schools with acceptance rates

OUR INCREDIBLE PALAKKKK! Congrats congrats! 🎉

In some of our first conversations with Palak, it became clear that a top US university outside of the USA would be ideal for her. She has an adventurous spirit, is curious about the world around her and is a risk-taker (in the best way). NYUAD, from many conversations about the opportunities there, emerged as a top choice for her. She worked extremely hard on her projects and essays, and her application certainly stood out making her a no-brainer candidate for admission to a selective university.

She Founded a small chai-tea business called 'Masala Mug' that spread cultural awareness around a hot cup of chai, and she also donated a portion of profits to children's homes. She also Founded the 'Red Thread Initiative' raising awareness on women's issues, and donating sanitary products. She Co-Founded the Desi Diaries podcast alongside another CQ student, conducting interviews with Indian Business leaders, garnering 100+ listeners. She counseled at Moorlands, organized events at the Indian High Commission, interned at jewelry stores, and more!

Palak is such a force to be reckoned with. She is a true leader. She asks the right questions. Works diligently and calmly towards her goals. She knows what she wants and goes after it. For her passion projects, once she had the idea she went straight into EX*****ON MODE, which is so rare.

Palak we are sooo incredibly proud of you!! We know you will continue to be a mover and shaker at NYUAD. Moving to the middle east will be a difficult journey, but if there's any student who can succeed in that transition, it's you!

HUGEEEE CONGRATS AGAIN! 🌟🌟🚀

Parenting teenagers is hard; and no parent gets it right 100% of the time. These are simply some patterns we've noticed after years of working closely with teenagers and families, during a transitional time in their lives.

These students who thrive long term are the ones who embody these qualities, lessons, and skills. A lot of this starts much earlier than university applications; it's shaped in everyday moments at home, in conversations, in observing how the adults around them respond to stress, failure, conflict etc.

Parents, we want to hear from you too! Tell us which point resonated with you the most in the comments 💙

HUGEEE CONGRATS TO THE AMAZING KARINA!

We're so proud of your hard work throughout this process Karina. You took advice, asked questions, and pushed yourself even when it was hard.

When UTampa emerged as Karina's top choice, we knew we had to get her there. As a dancer with BEAM Jamaica, and Head of the cultural dance club at school, as well as participant in the Student Activities Club, and Grandma's club (knitting/crochet), we knew that Karina had a lot to bring to the table. She's also spent several summers working in her family's business, developing leadership qualities along the way, and has organized supply drives for basic school's in need. She cares a lot about whatever community she is a part of, from Jamaica to Saint James in Maryland and now to Tampa, we know she will absolutely become a leader on and off campus.

Karina, keep shining! You are a gem, and UT is lucky to have you. ⭐️
