Last month in Montego Bay, I had the privilege of returning to work with the incredible team at PetroJam and once again, the experience left me deeply humbled.

There is something sacred about being in a room filled with men who are willing to show up beyond the roles they usually carry.

In what felt like such a short time, the sharing ran deep. Honest. Real. Unfiltered.

Moments like these are always a powerful reminder that men are not disconnected, they are often just unsupported. They care. They feel. They carry. When given permission to exhale, they are willing to engage in the work of healing.

Our time together centered on coping after Hurricane Melissa and how its impact showed up differently for each of them, shaping their responses, their emotions, and the way they continue to lead, provide, and navigate life.

Through meaningful dialogue, interactive activities, and even moments of laughter, the room transformed into a place of reflection and connection. No one was rushing to leave. That alone spoke volumes.

Grateful to PetroJam for the opportunity to return and hold space with their Montego Bay team. Looking forward to continuing this important work together in the near future.

Many of us plan from pressure instead of peace. From urgency instead of alignment and from fear instead of faith.

We write goals but we're exhausted. We make plans, but we're anxious. We schedule our days but we still feel scattered.

How many of us plan with God as our Chief Strategist?

In the word of God, Proverbs 16: 3, we are guaranteed this, when we commit to the Lord whatever we do, He will cause our plans to succeed.

Are the plans you are about to make honour God?

Do they bring Him glory?

Do they expand not just you but those around you?

As you prepare for the new year, pause before rushing into goals and resolutions. What if your planning started with purpose, not pressure?

P.L.A.N with God:
P - Pray before you plan
L - Listen to God's word.
A - Align your goals with His purpose
N - Navigate with intention

Plan with foresight, not force. Planning with God helps you course-correct instead of crashing.

May your planning be purposeful
May your steps be guided by God and may your life be mapped with scripture that reflects His glory.

Thank you Sadra Madonna Linday for having me share these nuggets at your book and website launch. It was truly a blessing to share in this special moment with you. Thank you for the planner, it is easily the best one I've come across so far.

Trauma can literally rewire and change the developing brain. When stress or emotional injury goes unprocessed, unhealed, or unexpressed, the body stores it. That stored tension affects how we show up how we think, react, build relationships, and move through life. Many people are living not from who they truly are, but from what their nervous system has survived.

I had the privilege of being part of a panel discussion at the Redeemed for Purpose Workshop and Book Launch, hosted by Suzanna Griffiths .empoweredliving, just before the hurricane and it was such a meaningful experience. Deep, refreshing, releasing, and rich in wisdom. Thank you Suzanna for inviting me into that space.

Big respect to the other panelists as well. I look forward to more rooms like this rooms where we can educate, empower and edify people about what is really happening beneath the surface. Because people deserve to know why they are the way they are. People deserve to understand the roots behind their thoughts, behaviours, triggers and patterns.

Many of the things we blame ourselves for did not start with us but they can end with us. Generational trauma is real but so is generational healing.

The more we know, the more we can change.

The trauma-informed R.E.S.E.T Emotional Recovery Model is the framework I had the honour of sharing with the team at Carreras.

R – Recognize the emotion
E – Engage your breath
S – Soothe your body
E – Empower your thoughts
T – Take supportive action

In this season, no one is expected to carry everything alone. We rise forward together.
We have survived the storm and not just the physical one, but the internal ones too. Now the work is to teach and retrain the nervous system that the danger has passed, so we can create and embrace safety again.

This assignment was made even more meaningful through my partnership with , and I’m grateful for the opportunity to journey alongside them in this work. Thank you for trusting me to support such necessary emotional recovery and resilience building.

We facilitated two sessions and what humbled me deeply was the response. Managers who joined online for the first session came down in person for the second, simply because of how practical, grounded and engaging the experience was.

I believe in sessions where people don’t just hear tools they leave with them; where emotional regulation makes sense in the body and we know what to do when anxiety begins to rise.

Impact happens when information becomes application. Creating brave and safe spaces one organization at a time. One company at a time. One layer at a time.

Two appearances.
One stage.
One mission.

I had the honour of joining , host of Dezign Studio on Nationwide 90FM, not once but twice. The first interview was a heart-to-heart journey about how I got here, what shaped my purpose, and the path God walked me through to do this work.

The second time, we dug deeper into the emotional and psychological impact of Hurricane Melissa. We spoke about trauma, tools for coping, and the way hardship has reminded us to treasure what we once overlooked.

One survivor said something I will never forget:

“We may have lost our house, but we didn’t lose our home because home is wherever my family is."

That is resilience.
That is hope.
That is why we do this work.

Thank you Karen, thank you Nationwide Radio for leaning into healing, conversation, and restoration one layer at a time.

I’m grateful. I’m grounded and I’m walking in and on purpose.

Who would have thought that a radio interview with Radio Jamaica hosted by Christopher “Johnny” Daley would lead to me sharing the stage at his Comedy Bar Show on a Tuesday night? Therapy met comedy in the most unexpected way tools for healing wrapped in laughter to help people navigate what has been a difficult time for many. A unique, beautiful, and timely experience.

What makes it even more meaningful is this; one year ago, in October 2024, I stood in that same Comedy Bar, holding my very first published book fresh from printing. I wasn’t even scheduled to speak, yet somehow that night ended with Chris reading from my book on stage. Now here I am, November 2025, after one of Jamaica’s most devastating seasons, standing in that very spot not as an observer, but as a contributor sharing the work God called me to do… healing, one layer at a time.

God is intentional. His timing is perfect. Trust His process even when it feels slow because He is weaving details you cannot yet see.

Keep going. Your story is unfolding.

Sometimes laughter is therapy.
Sometimes community is regulation.
And sometimes, healing looks like stepping into a room where your body feels safe again.

In light of Hurricane Melissa and everything so many of us are carrying emotionally, I’ll be at Johnny Comedy Bar’s Open Mic Night: Improv Therapy Edition, helping people learn how to cope, regulate their nervous systems, and breathe again through the chaos.

Because healing doesn’t only happen in quiet rooms.

Sometimes it happens in spaces filled with laughter, presence, and release.

"We must carry Jamaica in our hearts, and not on our backs" - Dr Lecie Brown 🇯🇲

Location: Johnny’s Place – Dunrobin Plaza, Kingston.
Date: November 11 | Gates open 8 PM
Admission: $2000

A portion of the proceeds will support hurricane relief

If you need a space to exhale, I’ll meet you there.

01/11/2025

It’s okay to take a break.

After everything that’s happened, your mind and body are still processing. Our stress hormone, cortisol, is highest in the morning, so give yourself space to ease into the day before scrolling, replying, or checking in.

Take a social media and WhatsApp breather if you need to.

Breathe.

Sit in silence.

Listen to your body.

You don’t have to be available to everyone while you’re trying to recover too.

Set a timer.

Limit your intake.

Protect your peace.

It’s not withdrawal, it’s wisdom.

30/10/2025

Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a quick moment to check in after everything that’s happened with the hurricane. I know so many of us are feeling heavy and it’s okay to feel that way.

What some of you might be experiencing is vicarious trauma that’s when, even if you weren’t directly affected, seeing or hearing about what others went through starts to take a toll on you emotionally. Some may be feeling survivor’s remorse that quiet guilt that comes from realizing you were spared while others lost so much. Both are real, human responses to tragedy.

So here are three reminders as we heal and rebuild:

1. If someone is expressing how they feel, let them. Their feelings are valid. Don’t rush them out of their emotions.

2.Your presence speaks volumes. Even if you don’t know what to say, being there, just showing up, matters more than you know.

3. If you can, go out and support. Help someone clean up, pack up, give a meal, or donate through https://supportjamaica.gov.jm

We’re going to get through this. You’ve survived everything that once came to break you and that means there’s still resilience left in you. We’re going to be okay, Jamaica. 💛💚🖤
