Last month in Montego Bay, I had the privilege of returning to work with the incredible team at PetroJam and once again, the experience left me deeply humbled.
There is something sacred about being in a room filled with men who are willing to show up beyond the roles they usually carry.
In what felt like such a short time, the sharing ran deep. Honest. Real. Unfiltered.
Moments like these are always a powerful reminder that men are not disconnected, they are often just unsupported. They care. They feel. They carry. When given permission to exhale, they are willing to engage in the work of healing.
Our time together centered on coping after Hurricane Melissa and how its impact showed up differently for each of them, shaping their responses, their emotions, and the way they continue to lead, provide, and navigate life.
Through meaningful dialogue, interactive activities, and even moments of laughter, the room transformed into a place of reflection and connection. No one was rushing to leave. That alone spoke volumes.
Grateful to PetroJam for the opportunity to return and hold space with their Montego Bay team. Looking forward to continuing this important work together in the near future.
