PARENTING THE POSITIVE WAY

Life Ease in association with New Perpetual Early Childhood Learning Centre (located in the Woodford Park community of Allman Town) conducted a one-day Seminar on Parenting in a Positive Way.

Debbie Golding, President of Life Ease and Chairman of New Perpetual Early Childhood Learning Centre opened the seminar during the Ice Breaking moment by asking the parents to indicate the school or training institution that they had attended to become a parent; and to state the certification that they had achieved. From then on it was a lively and interactive presentation that shared information on: Effective Parenting Skills, Requirements for Parenting, Building Healthy Relationship with your Children, Discipline NOT Punish, Highlight Your Child's Capability, Recreational Moments are Priceless, Selective Village Parenting, Real Talk, and God's Way.

The principal has reported positive feedback from the parents who are asking for more sessions. It was commendable to note that, although small in numbers, a few of the parents were single fathers who shared valued concerns.

Life Ease is impacting one ripple at a time.

Charles Raison says, "One generation full of deeply loving parents would change the brain of the next generation, and with that, the world." How deep is your love?

Official Launch - Sunday, February 21, 2016
The East Queen Street Baptist Church officially launched its new youth programme geared at promoting godly living amongst the youths by targeting the four dimensions (spiritual, social, service, physical) of self and getting them to understand that God is in their everyday lives. The guest speaker, Mrs. Mavis Wilks encouraged the youths to avail themselves of this opportunity to become engaged in the 20 Courses being offered to aid them in becoming virtuous women and valiant men of God. The team boasts a mixed cadre of educators apt to provide Titus 2 teachings. Debbie Golding, Programme Founder and one of the Facilitators presented an Overview and Orientation and charged the youths to choose to build on their values, to choose God and to lead a better lives become proud citizens of Jamaica; who contribute to her production and development, whilst being mindful of the less fortunate.

When my daughters were 5 and 7, I recall them often saying to each other "you are not the boss of me!" It was not unique to them; in fact it was a slang by many (I lovingly called) ‘small people. Yet, they were right. You are the boss of yourself, the master of your own destiny. Of course, this does not negate (deny or remove) the involvement and influence of God in all our lives. Central to the success of journeying through life is to have the understanding of our personal role and required action in the affairs of our lives, which still does not edge God out. The ego, does that.
We are all on this journey of life - pondering what we are born to do: - What paths to take? Where will the resources come from? When will it all come to fruition? Why me or why now? Who will help me? How much time do I have? Wherever you are on the journey, you must first understand that it is not smooth or straight forward, typically. Yet, you and I have the ability to change the direction(s) of life to the way you/we want it to go. You may need to turn right and make a quantum leap on the path you now wish to choose. It is best to change directions, rather than continue on a path of futility, darkness and a dead end. We all have the option of CHOICE. Choose wisely!!
Life Ease is about helping you to get on the right path, staying on the right path and utilizing the options that you have and choosing the alternate path to becoming a better you.

Debbie Golding is the Chief Executive Officer of Life Ease. She has been an educator and business leader for more than fifteen (15) years. She is the founder and one of the facilitators of Transformation Butterfly; a programme designed to help young children and youths to maximise their full potential as they navigate through the four (4) dimensions of self - spiritual, social, mental, and emotional. The programme is designed to help shape positive citizens who recognise their worth; and who will aid in the development of Jamaica as she seeks to become the country of CHOICE "to live, work and raise a family." Mrs. Golding is also the Chairperson for the Perpetual Early Childhood Learning Centre. She is ably equipped with training and presentation skills that embolden her abilities as a motivational speaker, facilitator, mentor, volunteer, benefactor and Justice of the Peace.

Finding actual images of what you would like in your life to create a vision (visual) board. What you focus on will often come into being. This is also true of your thoughts. Be careful of that conversation in your mind; and what you constantly keep in your focus. Whatever you believe is. If you say you can, or if you say you cannot, either way, you are CORRECT.

Believe in Self and QUIETEN the Negative Self-Talk. You are more than you see in the natural, but you have to BELIEVE and speak what you want into being. It may be hard to believe, but we are spiritual beings having a human experience.
