2023 is finally here and I don’t know about you, but there’s something about a new year that really helps to reset my brain, life, mindset, emotions and everything else.

Every new year, I do a few key things to help set my family up for a strong year financially. It really helps to rebuild/ strengthen my money foundation year by year.

Sometimes I like to get outside the house so I’ll skip to the library, Panera, or even book a day at a co-working space. It helps to switch it up. 😉

We classified consumer debt as any expenses not related to our daily living expenses/ anything that could impact our credit scores.  
 
Yes: Loans, Medical Bills, Taxes, Credit Cards. 
 
No: Rent/Mortgage Payments, Gas, Food, Gifts, Charitable Contributions. 
 
So, how'd we do it? 
 
1️⃣Completing a complete Money Inventory 
2️⃣Creating our debt repayment plan 
3️⃣Sticking to the script 
4️⃣Reframing how we viewed debt… hint it’s not about money
5️⃣Focusing on speed & consistency
