The opening ceremony included a panel session entitled "The role of transparency of the international trade information availability in boosting business competitiveness in Jordan" with the participation of Mrs. Raghad Altalli, The project Manager, the International Trade Center
The session addressed the importance of transparency in the provision and clarity of trade procedures for the private sector and the Jordanian Customs Plan to ensure the sustainability of the Jordanian Trade Facilitation Portal as well as the portal’s role in improving the Jordanian private sector competitiveness and in ensuring continuity of trade activities continuity in light of the challenges posed by the Corona outbreak.

اتفاقية تيسير التجارة هي واحدة من اهم الاتفاقيات المنبثقة عن منظمة التجارة العالمية ومن أهم بنودها هو ضرورة نشر المعلومات المتعلقة بالنشاطات التجارية في الدولة عبر الانترنت، وكنتيجة لالتزام الأردن ببنود هذه الاتفاقية تم تطوير بوابة الكترونية بهدف تسهيل وتيسير النشاط التجاري في المملكة من خلال تمكين التجار من الحصول على كافة المعلومات المتعلقة بالتجارة.

وتحتوي هذه البوابة على قسمين
القسم الاول: عرض الاجراءات العامة للاستيراد والتصدير والترانزيت بالإضافة الى الإجراءات الخاصة بأهم المنتجات التجارية في الأردن والتي يتجاوز عددها 72 منتجاً
القسم الثاني: بنك معلومات Trade Repository تيسير التجارة الذي يحتوي على مجموعة شاملة من المعلومات عن الأنظمة والقواعد التجارية المعمول فيها بالأردن،كما توفر البوابة خدمة الرد الآلي التي تمكن من البحث عن أي معلومة يحتاجها المستخدم عن طريق الإدخال الكتابي أو الصوتي

The Trade Facilitation Agreement is one of the most important agreements emanating from the World Trade Organization. One of its most important provisions is the obligation to publish trade related information through internet and as a result of Jordan's commitment to the terms of this agreement, an electronic portal has been developed with the aim to ease and facilitate business activities in the Kingdom by enabling traders to obtain all information related to trade.

The portal contains two sections.
Section 1: Presenting over 72 procedures of import, export, and transit in general and more specifically the most important imports and exports in Jordan.
Section 2: Trade Facilitation Repository Trade Facilitation, which contains a comprehensive set of information on Jordan's prevailing trading rules and regulations. The portal also provides an automated voice response system service that enables users to search for- and obtain any information through written text or voice input.

إطلاق "البوابة الأردنية لتيسير التجارة" تحت رعاية معالي وزير المالية بمشاركة مدير عام الجمارك الأردنية والجهات المانحة والمنفذة وممثلين هيئات الرقابة الحدودية، وممثلي القطاع الخاص الاردني.

حيث تستجيب البوابة لتطلعات الحكومة نحو التوسع بتطبيق مفهوم التحول الرقمي للقطاعات الاقتصادية والذي يساهم بدوره في خلق بيئة استثمارية مستقرة وتحسين القدرة التنافسية للمؤسسات الأردنية الصغيرة والمتوسطة، وصولا لتعزيز قدرة الاقتصاد الأردني بتحقيق مزيد من التقدم في مؤشر التنافسية العالمي.

The Jordan Trade Facilitation Portal was launched under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, with the participation of the General Director of the Jordan Customs, donors, implementing agencies, representatives of border control bodies, and representatives of the Jordanian private sector.

The portal was developed in response to the government's efforts in expanding on the concept of digital transformation of economic sectors, which contributes to creating a stable investment environment and improving the competitiveness of Jordanian SMEs. Thus, strengthening the capacity of Jordan’s economy towards further progress in the Global Competitiveness Index.
