This is one of the problems we help companies in the solve: too much marketing activity with too little management behind it.
Marketing often fails for a simple reason. The company has campaigns, agencies, reports and people doing the work, but no clear system for managing priorities, ownership, decisions and performance.
A marketing strategy explains what the company wants to achieve. A marketing operating model defines how the work is organised, how leads move between marketing and sales and how results are reviewed.
Without that structure, teams stay busy while the same problems repeat: unclear ownership, slow approvals, weak reporting and agencies working without enough direction.
More work does not automatically mean smarter work. The issue is not always a lack of action. Sometimes there is too much activity and too little management.
