Shehadeh has a remarkable legal experience developed by encountering different litigation cases, including representing local and international clients in numerous commercial, civil, criminal, banking, and insurance and media cases before all stages of court in Jordan. Moreover, Shehadeh’s responsibilities as a lawyer extend to drafting and revising all forms of commercial contracts and providing legal advice to reputable companies in Jordan in different sectors.

Shehadeh has extensive experience working and following up the registration of various IP applications, such as patents and trademarks before the local Ministries in Jordan such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade. His experience includes preparing, managing, and advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious IP work and drafting license and assignments documents, within IP/Trade Mark Management. Shehadehfrequently assists international clients on matters with the customs departments in Jordan.

The period that Mr. Smadi spent in the Middle East Legal Gate Law Firm before he took over the management of several departments in the office is not considered a long period. During the three years that Mr. Smadi spent, many departments were established, and many lawyers were brought in with very high qualifications, and they were carefully selected.

He completed his academic career at the most respected Jordanian universities in law and his GPA was “good”, and he continued his studies at one of the most important British universities and received a “merit” degree in International Banking and Finance Law.

Adv. Salam Alsmadi

Mr. Salam is the partner heading our Corporate and Commercial Practice. Mr. Salam is qualified in civil and common law, with a master's degree (LLM) in banking and finance law from the University of London, a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from the University of Law (London), and a bachelor’s law degree from the University of Jordan.

Mr. Salam has considerable professional experience with top international law firms within the United Arab Emirates. He played an integral part in structuring and managing complicated financial and commercial transactions in the Middle East. Offering legal consultations to a vast number of clients.

Mr. Salam has an extensive client portfolio of international companies, government entities, and international financial institutions and has advised them on financial transactions, shareholder disputes, bankruptcy, liquidation in addition to drafting commercial and finance agreements. He has advised many of worldwide companies with respect to their investment portfolio covering Real Estate, Commercial Disputes, Financial Investments, Energy, Construction, Automobile Business, Corporate and Commercial matters. He also provided consultation to a committee of main creditors in the restructuring of Dubai World and Nakheel, which included the complete restructuring of the companies, reformulation of the boards of directors, and integration of all entities in consolidated entities.

Mr. Salam has represented many international companies and investors in establishing their business in the United Arab Emirates and drafting various commercial agreements. He provided the investors with consultations on regulatory issues and procedural rules relevant to the transfer of all types of assets in the United Arab Emirates and drafting sales and purchase agreements.
