Relatively cold and unsettled conditions are set to persist across the Kingdom in the coming days, with a chance of rain and a marked drop in temperatures by Thursday, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast on Monday.

On Tuesday, skies will be partly to occasionally cloudy, with relatively cold weather prevailing in most regions, while conditions remain comparatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported citing the JMD.

Light, scattered showers are possible around midday, accompanied by moderate south-westerly winds.

Conditions on Wednesday will remain relatively cold across most areas and comparatively warm in low-lying regions, with clouds at various altitudes.

By midday, the Kingdom is expected to come under the influence of atmospheric instability, bringing increased cloud cover and intermittent rainfall in several areas, particularly in the south and east.

Thunderstorms may occur at times, while moderate south-westerly winds are expected to become active at intervals, the JMD forecast.

The department added that a more pronounced shift is expected on Thursday, with a noticeable drop in temperatures bringing very cold conditions to the high mountain ranges and cold, cloudy and rainy weather to the rest of the country.

Rainfall may be heavy at times, especially in western areas, and could be accompanied by thunder and hail, raising the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, while westerly winds will be active, with strong gusts in some areas exceeding 60 kilometres per hour, the JDM warned.

Temperatures in Amman on Tuesday are expected to range from 6°C to 15°C, while Aqaba will see a range of 14°C to 25°C. By Thursday, Amman’s temperatures are forecast to drop, ranging between 6°C and 10°C.

Traveling instructions
- The PCR test should be done within maximum 72 hours prior to departure.
- Fully vaccinated travelers (full doses) from one of the following countries are no longer required to conduct a PCR test upon arrival in the country.
(Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States).
- All travelers must complete a health declaration and locator form at check-in if arriving by air, obtain health/travel insurance (For Non Jordanians), and visit https://gateway2jordan.gov.jo/form to complete the required travel declaration form and obtain their personal QR code which is mandatory for boarding.
- Passengers are required to present the applicable documents upon arrival. This includes the QR code, a negative PCR test result from the country of departure, and the vaccination certificate (for vaccinated passengers).
- Children under 5 years old are not required to apply on the platform.
- In case of a positive result, travellers must commit to adhere to home quarantine for a period of 14 days and do the (PCR)(COVID19) test on the fourteenth day of home quarantine at their own expense.
- Travelers with a Jordanian vaccination certificate whose second dose of vaccination has been taken before at least 14 days, and who return to Jordan within 10 days from the date of their departure are exempted from bringing a negative PCR test result from the country of departure.

- إحضار نتيجة سلبية لفحص ال COVID-19 من المختبرات المعتمدة من الجهات الصحية خلال ٧٢ ساعة من موعد المغادرة، على أن يعفى من ذلك الأطفال (٥ سنوات) فما دون.
- لم يعد يُطلب من المسافرين المحصنين والحاصلين على شهادة مطعوم والقادمين من إحدى الدول التالية إجراء اختبار PCR عند وصولهم إلى الأردن:
(استراليا ، النمسا ، البحرين ، بلجيكا ، بلغاريا ، كندا ، الصين ، كرواتيا ، قبرص ، جمهورية التشيك ، الدنمارك ، إستونيا ، فنلندا ، فرنسا ، ألمانيا ، جبل طارق ، اليونان ، المجر ، أيرلندا ، إيطاليا ، اليابان ، الأردن ، الكويت ، لاتفيا ، ليتوانيا ، ليختنشتاين ، لوكسمبورغ ، ماليزيا ، مالطا ، المغرب ، هولندا ، نيوزيلندا ، عمان ، فلسطين ، بولندا ، البرتغال ، قطر ، رومانيا ، روسيا ، روسيا البيضاء , المملكة العربية السعودية ، سلوفاكيا ، سلوفينيا ، كوريا الجنوبية ، إسبانيا ، السويد ، سويسرا ، تايوان ، تونس ، تركيا ، الإمارات العربية المتحدة ، المملكة المتحدة ، الولايات المتحدة).
- يجب على جميع المسافرين التسجيل على المنصة في حالة الوصول جواً ، والحصول على تأمين صحي / تأمين السفر وزيارة https://gateway2jordan.gov.jo/form لإكمال نموذج تصريح السفر المطلوب والحصول على QR الشخصي. رمز إلزامي للصعود إلى الطائرة.
- يتعين على الركاب تقديم المستندات المطلوبة عند الوصول. يتضمن ذلك رمز الاستجابة السريعة QR، ونتيجة اختبار PCR السلبي من بلد المغادرة ، وشهادة التطعيم (للمسافرين متلقي المطعوم).
- يعفى الأطفال دون سن الخامسة من التسجيل على المنصة.
- عند الحصول على نتيجة فحص إيجابية, يجب على المسافرين الالتزام بالحجر المنزلي لمدة 14 يوماَ وإجراء اختبار (PCR) (COVID19) في اليوم الرابع عشر من الحجر الصحي المنزلي على نفقتهم الخاصة.
- ‎يُعفى المسافرون الحاصلون على شهادة مطعوم أردنية وقد مرّ على الجرعة الثانية ١٤ يوماً على الأقل والعائدون إلى الأردن في غضون 10 أيام من تاريخ مغادرتهم من إحضار نتيجة فحص PCR سلبية من بلد المغادرة.

Jordan & Covid-19 cases for today: 7 cases for people coming from outside jordan , 01 Jordanian coming from egypt quarantined in the designated hotels.
06 drivers coming from alomari border ( 03 Jordanians quarantined and 03 non jordanian dealt with them on protocol basis)
That makes total Covid-19 cases in Jordan reaches 1008 cases.
11 cases were dismissed from prince hamza hospital(cured)
