Welcome Reception

The Jordan Belgian Business & Friendship Association (JBFA) hosted a warm and distinguished Welcome Reception in honor of Mrs. Malaika Lombume, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul, and Mr. Nathan Rasquinet, Political Counsellor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Jordan.

JBFA President Mr. Shukri Salfiti opened the evening by extending a gracious welcome to the honored guests and introducing the JBFA Board members, highlighting their roles and ongoing efforts in strengthening the Association’s mission. He also emphasized the importance of expanding the Association’s membership and further enhancing cooperation between Jordan and Belgium.

The reception was further distinguished by the presence of H.E. Mr. Serge Dickschen, Ambassador of Belgium to Jordan and Iraq, to whom the Association extended its deep appreciation for his continued support. Commemorative plaques were presented to Mrs. Malaika and Mr. Nathan in recognition of their service, and additional plaques were awarded to the event sponsors in appreciation of their valued contribution to the success of the evening.

The gathering provided a meaningful opportunity to highlight JBFA’s growing membership, welcome new members, and reaffirm the Association’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. JBFA extends its sincere thanks to all attendees for their presence and engagement, which greatly contributed to the warm and distinguished atmosphere of the reception.

The General Assembly of the Jordan Belgian Business & Friendship Association – JBFA – held its Annual Ordinary Meeting at Signia By Hilton Amman on 22/06/2025 at 7:00 pm. in the presence of their Valued Members. (Whom membership fees were settled) & the representative of the Ministry of Industry Trade & Supply, Mr. Mohammad Amara.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Shukri Al-Salfiti - President of the Association welcomed the members of the General Assembly and the new members of the Association and gave an overview of the activities carried out by the Association during the previous period of 2024, furthermore he talked about the Association's future plans to enhance economic and professional cooperation with different sectors in the Belgium by receiving specialized economic delegations and organizing meetings with members of the association as a part and the Jordanian economic sectors in general. In the meantime, Mr. Zaid AbuSair the RUM CPA Auditors representative, presented a report on the financial position of the association for 2024.
Some discussions were also took place between the members of the association, overall, the meeting was fruitful and the consolidation of the relationship between the members of the association was great, on the other hand the exchange of experiences and ways to strengthen the association together with the bonds of cooperation between Jordan and Belgium was remarkable and in order for Jordan to be a center for economic cooperation between Syria and Belgium, by receiving specialized economic delegations and organizing meetings between Belgian companies and the commercial sector in Syria was been added as center points of discussions.
Furthermore, Mr. Shukri Salfiti thanked the sponsor of the meeting, Mr. Apkar Kevorkian - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EJADA - for sponsoring the meeting of the General Assembly and thanked the attendees for their permanent and endless support to their association.
Finally, the attended members signed and agreed: -
- Annual Administrative and Financial Report for the year 2024.
- 2024 Balance Sheet.
- New Add from the Ministry of Industry Trade & Supply to JBFA Bylaws.

The Jordanian-Belgian Business and Friendship Association – JBFA – was honored, within the periodic meetings carried out by the association with personalities that well-known and prominent figures in Jordanian Society, to host Dr. Adli Kandah, Economic Consultant & Advisor. Mr. Shukri Salfiti the president of JBFA welcomed the guest, H.E Head Of Mission & First Secretary Mr. Jean-Ludovic de Lhoneux, the Belgium Ambassador’s Deputy to Jordan & Iraq, and the attendees of the members of the association and their friends, and then Dr. Adli spoke about the Trade Wars: Consequences & Current Reality. Opening the door for interaction with Dr. Adli and the attendance.

The Jordanian-Belgian Business and Friendship Association – JBFA – was honored, within the periodic meetings carried out by the association with personalities related to the Belgian-Jordanian cooperation, to host His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Khalaf, former Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Belgium. Mr. Shukri Salfiti the president of JBFA welcomed the guest and the attendees of the members of the association and their friends, and then His Excellency Dr. Masaadeh spoke about the cultural, political and economic ties that unite Jordan and Belgium and ways to strengthen these ties and invest them so that they work to increase trade, cultural and educational exchange between the two countries, and His Excellency touched during the meeting on the regional situation surrounding Jordan and the consequences of the recent statements of the US President and his expectations about the possibility of Jordan being an international center for the reconstruction of Syria. Opening the door for interaction with H.E and the attendance..

The Jordanian-Belgian Business Friendship Association was honored today to host His Excellency Dr. Marwan Muasher (Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Deputy Prime Minister) to talk about the latest national, regional and state developments, where the meeting was saturated with the thought, experience and views of His Excellency Dr. Marwan, where the meeting was attended by members of the Jordanian-Belgian Business Friendship Association, all thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency Dr. Marwan Muasher for his political and diplomatic analysis of what is going on in the orbit of our territory.

The General Assembly of the Jordan Belgian Business & Friendship Association – JBFA – held its first ordinary meeting at Shams Al-Balad Restaurant on 7/8/2024 at 6:00 pm, in the presence of their valued members.

In the meantime, Mr. Ramzi Imseeh the Treasury, presented a report on the financial position of the association for 2023.

Some discussions were also took place between the members of the association, overall, the meeting was fruitful and the consolidation of the relationship between the members of the association was great, on the other hand the exchange of experiences and ways to strengthen the association together with the bonds of cooperation between Jordan and Belgium was remarkable.
