Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River – General Assembly Meeting #26 Highlights
The Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River held its General Assembly Meeting #26 on Tuesday, 5 May 2026,
at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Amman, with additional participation through Zoom to ensure engagement
from members traveling or unable to attend in person.
Club President Bisher Zureikat opened the meeting with several important announcements and updates
for the members, highlighting upcoming fellowship events, training opportunities, and future service
initiatives.
Among the key announcements:
• Members were invited to participate in the Rotary Family Picnic organized by the Rotary Club of
Amman West, taking place on Friday, 8 May 2026, at Dakhkan Farm in the Jordan Valley area,
promoting fellowship and family engagement within the Rotary community.
• The club’s upcoming joint meeting with the Rotary Clubs of Jordan, organized by the Rotary Club
of Amman Philadelphia, will be held on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, at the Bristol Hotel Amman,
featuring H.E. Louis-Martin Aumais as guest speaker addressing Jordanian-Canadian relations.
• Members were also encouraged to attend the New Member Training Seminar scheduled for
Sunday, 17 May 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Amman Hotel, aimed at strengthening Rotary
knowledge and enhancing community service engagement.
The meeting additionally included a brief report on the successful Hearing Testing Day conducted in
cooperation with The National Center for Children Hearing Care and Himmetna Health at Princess Basma
Health Center, reflecting the club’s continued commitment to impactful healthcare initiatives.
A major highlight of the evening was the election of the club’s Board of Directors for the Rotary Year
2026–2027:
