The Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River was honored to participate in a distinguished joint Rotary meeting featuring H.E. Mrs. Stella Kloth, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, hosted by RC Amman Philadelphia at the Landmark Hotel.

The event brought together Rotarians from several clubs across Jordan reflecting Rotary’s spirit of fellowship and collaboration

Ambassador Kloth shared valuable insights into the longstanding partnership between Jordan and the Netherlands, highlighting opportunities for cooperation in water management, agricultural innovation, economic development, and humanitarian initiatives.

The Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River extends its sincere appreciation to RC Amman Philadelphia for organizing this inspiring evening, which reaffirmed the importance of dialogue, international understanding.

Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River Celebrates a Successful Handover Ceremony
On Friday, 3 July 2026, the Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River held a memorable handover ceremony marking the transition between Rotary Years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027.
The evening commenced with the opening of the Club's 30th and final meeting for the 2025–2026 Rotary year by President Bisher Zureikat, while PP Faris Haddad, serving as Sergeant-at-Arms, warmly welcomed Rotarian guests, members, and friends of the Club.
President Bisher Zureikat presented the Club's Annual Administrative Report, highlighting a year distinguished by significant membership growth, impactful service initiatives, inspiring speakers, strengthened fellowship, and active engagement within District 2452.
During the ceremony, seven Rotarians who played a key role in supporting the Club's activities and contributing to the success of the Rotary year were honored with shields of appreciation. In addition, members received certificates of appreciation in recognition of their commitment and contributions throughout the year.
A symbolic moment of the evening was the presentation of the President's Medal and Rotary President's Pin to President Lina Karaa, officially marking the transfer of leadership to Rotary Year 2026–2027.
Following the closing of Meeting No. 30 for the 2025–2026 Rotary year, President Lina Karaa opened Meeting No. 1 for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. She expressed her appreciation for the accomplishments achieved during the previous year by presenting President Bisher Zureikat with a commemorative gift, introduced the Board of Directors for 2026–2027, and outlined her vision and plans for the coming year.
President Lina Karaa also announced that the Club's next General Assembly Meeting will take place on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, with a representative of the Ministry of Social Development expected to attend.
The evening concluded with a commemorative group photograph, celebrating the continuity of leadership, fellowship, and the shared commitment of Rotary members to the ideal of Service Above Self.

On Wednesday 17 June 2026, we celebrated our Rotary Hand Over Ceremony with 100 Rotarians & guests.
Deputy District Governor *Lina Karaa* from the Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River officially handed over to Incoming DDG *Laila Hinnawi*. Assistant Governors and Club Presidents also passed the role to their successors — new leaders, same commitment to Service Above Self.
Grateful for the dedication, the energy in the room, and everyone who showed up to support this transition. Here’s to the year ahead 2026-2027.

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, 7 new members from the Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River attended the Jordan Rotary New Members Training seminar.
They deepened their knowledge of Rotary principles and learned how to serve our community with greater impact.
Special thanks to DDG Lina Karaa and her team of experienced Rotary trainers for making this event so fruitful and enriching.

Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River – General Assembly Meeting #26 Highlights
The Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River held its General Assembly Meeting #26 on Tuesday, 5 May 2026,
at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Amman, with additional participation through Zoom to ensure engagement
from members traveling or unable to attend in person.
Club President Bisher Zureikat opened the meeting with several important announcements and updates
for the members, highlighting upcoming fellowship events, training opportunities, and future service
initiatives.
Among the key announcements:
• Members were invited to participate in the Rotary Family Picnic organized by the Rotary Club of
Amman West, taking place on Friday, 8 May 2026, at Dakhkan Farm in the Jordan Valley area,
promoting fellowship and family engagement within the Rotary community.
• The club’s upcoming joint meeting with the Rotary Clubs of Jordan, organized by the Rotary Club
of Amman Philadelphia, will be held on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, at the Bristol Hotel Amman,
featuring H.E. Louis-Martin Aumais as guest speaker addressing Jordanian-Canadian relations.
• Members were also encouraged to attend the New Member Training Seminar scheduled for
Sunday, 17 May 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Amman Hotel, aimed at strengthening Rotary
knowledge and enhancing community service engagement.
The meeting additionally included a brief report on the successful Hearing Testing Day conducted in
cooperation with The National Center for Children Hearing Care and Himmetna Health at Princess Basma
Health Center, reflecting the club’s continued commitment to impactful healthcare initiatives.
A major highlight of the evening was the election of the club’s Board of Directors for the Rotary Year
2026–2027:

قام نادي روتاري عمان نهر الأردن بتنظيم يوم صحي مجاني لفحص السمع والنطق عند الأطفال في مركز صحي الأميرة بسمة الشامل يوم السبت الموافق 2026/04/25 بالتعاون مع جمعية همتنا صحة وبتنفيذ من قبل المركز الوطني لرعاية سمع الأطفال في مستشفى الجامعة الأردنية.
وقد تم إجراء عدد ١٠٠ فحص واستشارة طبية، ستون منها فحوصات للسمع وثلاثون فحصاً للنطق وعدد عشر استشارات سمعية متفرقة.
وشهد مركز صحي الأميرة بسمة الشامل إقبالاً واسعاً من المواطنين، حيث تم تخصيص أربع عيادات داخل المركز لإجراء الفحوصات وقام أعضاء نادي روتاري عمان نهر الأردن بمساعدة الفريق الطبي على تنظيم توزيع المواطنين على العيادات والتأكد من حصولهم على الفحوصات اللازمة كل حسب حالته.
واجتمع أعضاء النادي برئيس المركز الدكتور ماهر صالح الذي قدم شرحاً تفصيلياً حول الخدمات التي يقدمها مركز صحي الأميرة بسمة الشامل الذي يقدم الخدمات الطبية والصحية لما لا يقل عن ثلاثين ألف مراجع شهرياً.
كما بينت الدكتورة مارجريت زريقات استشاري الأنف والأذن والحنجرة في مستشفى الجامعة الأردنية بأن الفحوصات التي تم إجراؤها تهدف إلى الكشف المبكر عن مشكلات السمع واضطرابات النطق لدى الأطفال في عمر مبكر للتمكن من التعامل المبكر معها وتجنب التأخر اللغوي والتعليمي.
وصرح رئيس جمعية نادي روتاري عمان نهر الأردن بشر زريقات بأن هذا اليوم الصحي المجاني يعتبر أحد مشاريع النادي في خدمة المجتمع المحلي وأنه يعتزم إقامة أيام صحية مجانية لفحص السمع في مناطق مختلفة من المملكة لتعميم الفائدة على المواطنين. كما أن النادي يقوم بالتعاون مع جمعية همتنا صحة والمركز الوطني لرعاية سمع الأطفال لتحقيق هذا الهدف حيث كان هذا اليوم باكورة مشاريع النادي في هذا المجال.

Attorney Tareq Naanaa led an engaging talk on Cybercrime at Meeting #24 of the Rotary Club of Amman Jordan River on Tuesday, 21 April.
Rotarian Mohammad Muhsen introduced the guest speaker and highlighted his role in serving the community.
The session was insightful and covered a topic that truly matters in daily life, with valuable lessons about staying aware and responsible online.
On behalf of the Club president, members and guests, Past President Bassam Twal thanked the speaker and President Bisher Zureikat presented him with a certificate of appreciation.
