Re:public at the Festival of the New European Bauhaus 2026 🌱

先週、ブリュッセルで開催された「ニュー・ヨーロピアン・バウハウス・フェスティバル」に参加しました。日本がHorizon Europeへの参加交渉を妥結し、EU・日本間の研究協力に新たな可能性が開かれた今年は、特別な意味を持つ参加となりました。 NEBフェアのパビリオン5では、「KYUSHU COMMONSCAPES」を出展。九州の地域コミュニティ、自治体、職人、研究者とともに歩んできた10年以上の実践を紹介しました。Bambooful、薩摩フューチャーコモンズ、UNA Laboratories、広川ネイティブテキスタイルなど、さまざまなプロジェクトを通じて、地域に根ざした実践からいかに循環・再生的な未来をひらきうるか、その可能性をお伝えできたかと思います。 会場では Valentina Vasile と が、ヨーロッパ各地とそれ以外の地域から集まった建築家、アーバニスト、研究者、コミュニティ組織の方々とたくさんの刺激的な会話を交わしました。
立ち寄ってくださったすべての方々、そしてローカルな実践と未来の想像力が出会える場をつくってくださったニュー・ヨーロピアン・バウハウスに、心より感謝いたします。
Last week, we joined the Festival of the New European Bauhaus in Brussels. This year felt especially meaningful as Japan concluded negotiations to associate with Horizon Europe, opening new possibilities for EU-Japan research collaboration. At the NEB Fair, we presented "KYUSHU COMMONSCAPES" at Pavilion 5 — a journey through 10+ years of Re:public's work with local communities, municipalities, craftspeople and researchers in Kyushu. Projects like Bambooful, Satsuma Future Commons, UNA Laboratories, Hirokawa Native Textiles and more came together to explore how local landscapes can become grounds for circular design, civic participation and regenerative futures. Valentina Vasile and exchanged ideas with architects, urbanists, researchers and community organisations from across Europe and beyond. Thank you to everyone who visited, and to the New European Bauhaus for creating a space where local practices and future imaginaries can meet.
