Finding vegan food inside one of the busiest train stations in the world sounded almost impossible until we discovered T’s Tantan inside Tokyo Station. Hidden near the JR Keiyo Line entrance, this popular ramen shop has become a favorite for both locals and travelers searching for comforting plant-based Japanese food. In this video, we taste several of their most talked-about dishes including the creamy Golden Sesame Tantan Ramen with its rich nutty broth, soy-based char siu, vegan cheese, fresh vegetables, and spicy toppings, as well as the bold and peppery Black Sesame Tantan Ramen layered with black sesame flavor, chili oil, and a creamy peanut center that melts into the soup. We also share our thoughts on the vegan gyoza and an incredibly refreshing green tea frappuccino that paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant was already drawing a crowd before opening, so expect a wait, but the fast service and generous portions made it worth it. After comparing both ramen bowls, we definitely had a favorite. If you are planning a trip to Japan and want to experience one of Tokyo’s most famous vegan ramen spots, this is a place you will not want to miss.
