Today, I would like to introduce the statistics released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries regarding the status of Japanese exports in 2022!

In a previous post, I highlighted items whose export value increased significantly in 2021.
Even then, the biggest increase was for scallops.

The same was true in 2022, when the value of scallop exports continued to reach record highs from 1988 to last year.
Major factors contributing to the increase are as follows:
・Economic recovery from the pandemic
・Improving the competitive environment in overseas markets on the back of the weak yen
