【Making CO₂ Emissions Visible — Down to a Single Screw】
As carbon transparency becomes increasingly important in global manufacturing, particularly with developments such as the EU’s CBAM, SAIMA is taking steps to better understand and communicate the environmental impact of our products. We are now able to calculate and disclose the CO₂ emissions generated during the production of each individual screw.
Today, representatives from KIP (Kanagawa Industrial Promotion Center) responsible for carbon neutrality initiatives visited us to learn more about our efforts and how we are making CO₂ emissions more visible.
This time, one of our interns from a university in Japan also joined the meeting!
It was a great opportunity for our intern to experience a different side of real business beyond their daily work and learn:
• How companies are addressing environmental challenges
• How CO₂ emissions can be measured and made visible
• How companies collaborate with external organizations to move these initiatives forward
We hope experiences like this give our interns a broader understanding of how manufacturing companies are responding to environmental and global challenges!
