'Lady with a Fan' ('Frau mit Fächer'), ca. 1917-18, by Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt (14 July 1862 – 6 February 1918), which reveals a blend of his own exotic style and the subtle influence of Japanese art.
Klimt was an avid collector of Japanese art, especially of ukiyo-e woodblock prints, proudly displaying them in this Vienna house and studio.
