OMA has officially completed the New Museum expansion in NYC– set for reopen on March 21, 2026. This new addition rises along the Bowery, standing distinct yet connected to the original SANAA-designed museum.

The building maintains its independence while engaging in a dialogue with the iconic stacked boxes next door, featuring folded facades that meet iconic volumes, creating a layered urban presence.

The expansion doubles the museum's exhibition capacity, improves visitor flow, and introduces new spaces like a Sky Room with panoramic views.
