「k-iwami」ブランドとは？ ･･･
日本には、全国の神々が集うと言われている「島根県」があります。 その中で島根県の西部地方である「いわみ」地方で私達の会社は創業以来136年にわたり日本の伝統的な着物を扱ってきました。島根には素晴らしいものがたくさんあることを知ってもらいたい。
それだけではなく、いま途絶えようとしている着物の染めの技術である「日本の伝統工藝品・江戸小紋」の染めの技を後世に伝えていきたい。
この2_つの思いを託して出来上がったのが「K-iwami」ブランドのレディースバッグ「極み」シリーズです。
紙から出来上がった「かみのいと®」と命名された軽量で丈夫な新繊維を綿糸と混合させた新しい生地を開発して、きものの染めの中でも特に極みの技法である「江戸小紋®」の染色の技で染め上げました。
新しいテクノロジーと伝統的な技術のコラボレーションによって、今までにはなかった新しい感覚の製品として誕生したのが、新高級ブランド「K-iwami」のバッグやポシェットです。どうぞご自分だけの逸品としてお楽しみください。
What is the “k-iwami” brand? ...
In Japan, there is “Shimane Prefecture” where it is said that the gods of the whole country gather. Among them, our company has been dealing with traditional Japanese kimonos for 136 years since its establishment in the “Iwami” region, the western part of Shimane Prefecture. We want people to know that there are many wonderful things in Shimane.
We also want to pass on to future generations the dyeing technique of “Edo komon,” a traditional Japanese craft, which is now dying out.
The “K-iwami” brand women's bag “Kiwami” series was created with these two thoughts in mind.
We developed a new fabric by mixing lightweight and strong new fiber named “Kami no ito®” made from paper with cotton yarn, and dyed it with the dyeing technique of “Edo komon®,” which is one of the most exquisite techniques of kimono dyeing.
The bags and pochettes of the new luxury brand “K-iwami” were born as products with a new sensation never seen before through the collaboration of new technology and traditional techniques. Please enjoy them as your own personal article of rare beauty.
