FB Friends... See Lean Management (5S specifically) IN ACTION in JAPAN where it all began!
Time to book your trip to Japan in May! Not only is airfare at its lowest ($650 round trip!) BUT you can also register for an Alpine excursion that is the perfect blend of business and leisure!
I'm personally very excited about this excursion and you can even try to get your management to expense this one! Every time I visit this historical town (Ashikaga City) it is truly a jaw-dropping experience to see these companies implement 5S to an incredible level of perfection and discipline... Oh, and the winery visit - breathtaking! 🍷

Don't miss this incredible one-day excursion to the beautiful countryside town of Ashikaga that both business people and tourists will thoroughly enjoy and learn from!
Discover unique aspects of Japanese business culture and how the entire town of Ashikaga uses '5S' workplace organization methodology to engage their employees. You will visit two Japanese companies for behind-the-scenes access to their factories and hear from the local Chamber of Commerce to learn how Ashikaga became known as the "5S Mecca" of the world. Learn how "Lean" principles, including 5S, were originally developed in Japan (by Toyota) and are now an internationally recognized approach to continuous improvement.
Stop along the way for lunch at a very special local winery. Take in the views of Ashikaga's beautiful spring flowers and countryside while enjoying fresh local delicacies and a glass of wine. In the afternoon, visit two famous cultural heritage sites in Ashikaga. Go inside the first school in Japan founded 600 years ago that has applied for World Heritage listing. Enjoy the beauty of a famous temple that is resplendent with spring flowers.
Return to Tokyo in time for dinner - or extend your trip for a weekend away from the city. You won't want to miss this special opportunity to visit Ashikaga!
