News📍 -1th October Japan’s increased from 8% to 10%. Takeout food will still be subject to 8% tax, restaurant customers who eat in will pay 10%. Rather than displaying two different prices for takeout and dining in, Mos Burger will only show the pretax amount.

President Abe's argues the increase is due the biggest problems: ever-growing public debt, which is now more than double gross domestic product.

🏡News- Japanese government considers paying people ¥3 million to move out of 23 central wards. The payment is intended to cover costs of moving+setting up a new home outside of the capital.

・Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike expressed doubts about the initiative. “It will be necessary to monitor how much of an effect payments of three million yen have, It might be wiser for the government to focus on spreading the word about the unique characteristics and strengths of other regions, and otherwise working on ways to make them desirable places to live.”

・ISM Consulting does not think this new policy will influence the need for in Tokyo. The population is likely to continue growing in Tokyo, to the point where it will account for 31.9% of the national population by 2045.

🏡東京圏への一極集中の是正に向けて、政府は、東京23区から地方に移住して就職する人などを対象に、最大300万円を給付する制度を創設し、来年度から実施する方針。

・東京都の小池知事は22日の記者会見で、「300万円でどれぐらいの効果があるのか見守っていく必要がある。東京一極集中が地方創生と相反するかのような、東京に集中・集積していることが地方の活性化を阻害するという発想だと思うが、これまでの対策であまり功を奏していないのではないか」と述べました。

The Japanese government is planning to offer up to three million yen (£20,698) to encourage residents of Tokyo to swap life in the congested capital for a home in the countryside.

📌-Besides building the new Shinagawa station on the famous Yamanote train line, East Japan Railway develop 4 high-rise buildings around the new station. JR east submitted a draft urban plan of Shinagawa Station North District Development Project, they consider Konan 2-chome, Minato-ku area. All in anticipation of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Furthermore lots of other companies, hotels are involved in construction projects, Tokyo grows.
