Travelers from 74 visa-exempt countries and regions will need to submit travel details online before flying to Japan, including:

🌸 Cherry Blossom Forecast 2026 – Japan 🌸

Japan’s cherry blossom season in 2026 is expected to start earlier than usual, with blooms arriving up to a week ahead of historical averages, according to the Japan Meteorological Corporation (JMC). Warmer temperatures during autumn and winter—especially an unusually warm February—have accelerated the development of sakura buds.

Here are the expected flowering and full bloom dates:

• Nagoya: March 17 / March 28
• Tokyo: March 19 / March 28
• Fukuoka: March 19 / March 29
• Kyoto: March 23 / April 1
• Osaka: March 24 / April 1
• Sapporo: April 25 / April 28

If the above-average temperatures continue through March, blossoms may open even earlier in some areas.

Experts also highlight that long-term warming trends linked to climate change are gradually shifting the sakura season earlier across Japan.

🌸 For travelers and sakura lovers, this means planning hanami (flower viewing) a little earlier this year to catch the breathtaking full bloom across the country.

Planning a trip to Japan? 🇯🇵 Here are some VERIFIED tourist scams to watch out for.

Japan is still one of the safest countries in the world—but that strong sense of security is exactly what some scammers take advantage of, especially in tourist-heavy areas like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

Here are a few real situations reported by visitors and authorities:

📱 Fake “Visit Japan Web” Apps
Visit Japan Web is an official government WEBSITE only.
There is currently no official mobile app.
If you see an app asking for your passport details or credit card information—do not download it.
Always access it directly via the official site:

🏮 Fake Monks Asking for Donations
Around popular temples like Senso-ji (Asakusa) or in parts of Kyoto, scammers may dress as monks offering charms, bracelets, or tokens in exchange for a “peace donation.”
Legitimate monks in Japan do not solicit money from tourists on the street.

🍺 Bar & Club Tout Scams (Shinjuku / Roppongi)
If someone approaches you offering:
• “First drink free”
• “No cover charge”
• “Cheap drinks inside”

🚩 This is a known tactic.
Tourists are sometimes led into bars and later charged excessive fees (¥50,000+), including fake “seating” or “service” charges.

Japan’s Metropolitan Police specifically warn tourists not to follow street touts into bars or clubs.

💴 Unexpected Tipping Requests
Japan has no tipping culture.
Taxi drivers, restaurant staff, or hotel employees should not ask for tips.
If someone demands an extra “service fee” not clearly stated in advance, be cautious.

Japan remains incredibly safe—but staying aware helps ensure your trip stays stress-free.

Share this with friends visiting Japan soon ✈️
Travel smart & enjoy responsibly!
