In the past, at the center of every Kominka was the "Irori" (sunken hearth). ⛩️✨
This fire pit was a kitchen for cooking, a source of light at night, and the "heart of the home" where the family gathered around the fire 🔥
Furthermore, the smoke rising from the Irori fumigated the ceiling beams and thatched roof, drying the wood and acting as a natural insect repellent. Daily living served as maintenance to preserve the house—a perfect ecosystem.

古民家の中心には、かつて必ず「囲炉裏(Irori)」がありました。⛩️✨
床を四角く切り抜いて作られたこの炉は、料理をするためのキッチンであり、夜には照明となり、家族が自然と火の周りに集まる「家の心臓部」でした🔥
