The date, May 8th (5/8), was chosen because “5” can be read as “go”and “8” can be read as “ya”.

If you know my love for these plays on words, it’s only one of the reasons I’m excited to celebrate.

I used to find the vegetable too bitter for my palette for years but lately I cannot get enough! Idk what’s gotten into me, it’s an obsession!

Celebrating today with my goya stickers and tonight’s dinner (and let’s be honest, my dinner the last 3 nights), goya champuru with a side of salmon 😂

Celebrating the iconic shisa today. If I’m honest, the play on words excites me way more than it should. Like meat sales on the 29th of every month 🤷‍♀️

Sticker Chick sakura collection drops tomorrow at and !

I had a lot of fun turning some of my designs pink for cherry blossom season. Deep pink felt like the right way to go to coordinate with most of our Oki blooms.

I’ll be stocking up first thing in the AM and should have them at all three shops by noon 🤞

2025 was a year of so much growth and gratitude for Sticker Chick Stickers.

Despite thinking I’d said goodbye to this beautiful little slice of paradise back in 2022, I was blessed to find myself back on Okinawa soil in January of this year.

Truthfully, I’d been floundering the last two years I was in the States, wondering what the future held for my little sticker business. My creativity waned. It was difficult to find a foothold in a place that I couldn’t seem to find inspiration. Nothing like what Oki gave me. But being off island, it felt like I didn’t have a place here either. I was in limbo.

Getting the chance to be back here in the place I love the most, where I’m surrounded by like-minded individuals is an indescribable feeling. This little community is filled with supportive, encouraging, passionate people following their dreams and it is INSPIRING!

So here’s to 2026. May it be filled with an abundance of what our hearts desire and the courage to pursue it!
