Japan KAKEHASHI Project, a powerful initiative by the Japanese government aimed at strengthening global connections through cultural and professional exchange.

The program focuses on creating a “bridge” between Japan and the world by giving participants firsthand exposure to Japan’s education system, work culture, and innovation ecosystem.

There are two key formats:

🔹 Asia KAKEHASHI Project+
A fully funded opportunity for high school students to study in Japan for several months, experience local culture, and build global perspectives early in life.

🔹 KAKEHASHI Project (Short-Term Exchange)
A 7–10 day immersive program for students and young professionals, including visits to universities, companies, and cultural institutions across Japan.

💡 What stands out:
- Fully/mostly funded by the Japanese government
- Strong focus on cross-cultural understanding
- Access to academic, corporate, and policy networks
- Opportunity to become long-term ambassadors between countries

At Codetots, we had the opportunity to work closely with the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry during their Japan visit 🇯🇵🤝🇮🇳

From Tokyo (SMRJ, JETRO, Embassy of India, and JIWF) to Nagoya and Osaka, the focus was on building strong SME connections and partnerships.

One clear takeaway SME collaboration between India and Japan is growing rapidly. At the same time, the demand for skilled talent in Japan continues to rise, and we are actively supporting recruitment for Japanese companies.

Another shift Japan is becoming more selective with engineers from abroad. Language is now as important as technical skills, as engineering here involves communication, teamwork, and documentation.

The bar is rising but so are the opportunities.

On 3rd May, we proudly joined and supported the India Parade in Yokohama, in collaboration with the Mumbai-Yokohama Sister City Group.
5月3日、私たちはムンバイ-横浜姉妹都市グループと協力し、横浜でのインディア・パレードに誇りを持って参加・応援しました。

The vibrant walk from Yamash*ta Park to Isezakicho was a celebration of our culture, unity, and heritage—a beautiful display of Indian traditions right in the heart of Japan!
山下公園から伊勢佐木町までの華やかな行進は、文化、団結、伝統を祝うものであり、日本の中心でインドの伝統を美しく披露しました。

It was heartwarming to see people of all ages, dressed in colorful traditional Indian attire, walking together, smiling, and sharing the spirit of India.
カラフルなインドの民族衣装に身を包んだ子どもから大人までが一緒に歩き、笑顔でインドのスピリットを分かち合う姿はとても感動的でした。

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and made this event memorable.

Bridging Japan and India through art!
We hosted a beautiful Calligraphy Workshop at a local Indian school, celebrating cultural exchange and creativity.

Children explored the elegance of Japanese calligraphy while connecting with Japanese values of expression and artistry. A simple yet powerful step toward deeper understanding between our cultures.
