DYNASTIES MUST FALL!
This is the plan they have against me:
Oscar Sudi has today, speaking outside Milimani Law Courts, immediately after the release of Dennis Itumbi, for the first time brought to the fore the name of Nancy Gitau as among those working with Karanja Kibicho in backroom schemes of stopping Deputy President Dr. William Ruto from ascending to the top of the country's leadership after President Uhuru Kenyatta retires in 2022.
But who is Nancy Gitau? She is President Kenyatta's Senior Political Strategist and Advisor. She sits in the inner sanctum of President Kenyatta's Legacy Team that engineered the executive order elevating CS Fred Matiang'i to Super CS, a move that political pundits viewed as aimed at stymying Ruto's political influence.
The membership of the team, formed post handshake, include CS Fred Matiang'i, Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, Chief of Staff and Head of Delivery Unit Nzioka Waita, National Intelligence Service Director Philip Kameru, the President's brother Muhoho Kenyatta, NASA leader Raila Odinga, Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, Private Secretary Jomo Gecaga, State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua and Nancy Gitau.
It must be remembered that Nancy Gitau is no stranger to working behind the scenes in the highest office in the land. She worked as a senior presidential advisor to retired President Mwai Kibaki's Grand Coalition government.
During her stint in Kibaki's government, her name and that of then Security Ministry's PS Mutea Iringo were adversely mentioned for allegedly procuring and coaching witnesses against Deputy President Dr. William Ruto at the ICC.
Ruto’s lawyer, Shyamala Alagendra, in submissions at the ICC in 2014 claimed that Nancy Gitau and Mutea Iringo had abused a Witness Protection Programme in the Security Ministry to recruit and coach ICC witnesses to fix the DP, a scheme Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria later publicly confessed to have been part of.
In the run-up to the 2013 elections and with the merger of URP and TNA, Nancy Gitau was inherited from the Kibaki administration by Uhuru Kenyatta as a Senior Presidential Advisor. She resigned in a huff in 2016 amid the acrimony of infighting pitting the URP and TNA factions within Jubilee government.
Her influence in the corridors of power then earned her many enemies within and outside Jubilee government. ODM Chairman John Mbadi described her then as "behind-the-scenes manager of Uhuru’s presidential campaign in 2012-2013, a politically-aligned servant only beholden to Uhuru, untouchable and Uhuru’s political agent."
Nancy Gitau was brought back in the run-up to 2017 elections as political strategist to the Presidential campaigns. May be this was in preparation and anticipation for the alleged current role. Of course she has institutional memory of anti-Ruto schemes. The fact that she works in the President's inner sanctum as Senior Political Strategist and Advisor leaves no doubt as to where to place all the anti Ruto rhetoric.
It is instructive to note that out of the 11 member Legacy Team members, about half - Murathe, Tuju, Raila, and Kibicho have come out in open public declaration of disdain of the Presidential ambitions of Dr. William Ruto.
It seems this nefarious scheme against Dr. Ruto has a long history. The true organization and the faces behind it are now slowly unfolding. Of course there are the Mt. Kenya Oligarchs playing supporting roles in the shadows.
That is THE SYSTEM.
