Dear mothers
A chubby child isn't a proof of good health.
Don't ever compare your child with other people's children. Don't compare one of your children with the others that you have, because all this are the reasons why we worry so much about the development of those children. Each child is unique and has a totally different route to achieving certain milestones.
Mothers have been brainwashed to believe that a baby is supposed to be fed, 3 times a day, with fruits in between and snacks too.
A baby's gut isn't like that of an adult. It digests slowly. Dont overfeed your child trying to make them chubby like that of your friends. Ati lazima anone ajikatanishe mara tatu.
If the baby is breastfeeding, 2 meals per day is enough. You force your child to eat and eat and eat every 2 hours, has anyone ever bought you food when you are already full? How did you feel? That's the same thing that happens to children when you keep beating them to feed.
The digestive system in human is made in such a way that, whenever, food is needed, there are mechanisms in the body's that signals you to eat, like yawning, decreased energy. The same is found in children, and they'll cry anytime they need the same.
Therefore stop beating your children or giving them Junks in the name of "ndio huwa anakula" because that's the beginning of our problems in healthcare.
As I said, don't give them those over the counter multivitamins, they are not necessary.
Give children fewer meals, and Nutrient dense food, and the baby will be healthy.
