Medical Laboratory students showcased their prowess at the Kenya Medical Laboratory Student Association (KEMLSA) National Symposium, hosted at Maseno University on Saturday, 22nd, securing the esteemed first runners-up position behind Maseno University. In recognition of their excellence, they were awarded certificates of participation.

Guided by the theme *Transforming Healthcare Through Laboratory Excellence*,' the delegation, under the leadership of Chairperson Felix Ochieng, conveyed profound appreciation to the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and the School of Public Health for their unwavering support in facilitating their engagement at this prestigious national forum. The symposium was conducted in strategic partnership with Patient-Centered Care Movement Africa (PaCeM) and Save the Sicklers.

We are delighted to inform you that the Tamasha Cultural Festival is scheduled from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th March, 2025. This is an important annual event at MMUST which serves as a unifying platform, bringing together students, staff, local, and international communities to celebrate and appreciate cultural diversity while fostering national and international cohesion.

The theme for this year’s event is “Leveraging on Cultural Heritage in Preserving National Cohesion.” The official opening ceremony will take place on Thursday 13th March, 2025 at the Graduation Square from 9.00 A.M.

The Institute of Indigenous Knowledge, Cultural Studies, and Climate Change (IIKCSCC), in partnership with the School of Arts and Social Sciences, is delighted to invite you to the 2025 International Mother Language Day (IMLD) celebrations. This year’s IMLD theme is: "Language Matter: Silver Jubilee Celebration of International Mother Language Day."

The theme highlights the importance of promoting linguistic diversity, protecting endangered languages, and encouraging multilingual education. The event will take place on Friday 21st February 2025, at MCU 001 from 9:00 a.m. It will bring together key stakeholders, including representatives from the National and County Governments, the local community, University staff, and students.
