EPISODE 1
It was a hot afternoon in the village of Amikpo. The impact of the sun could be seen on Ifeyinwa who was washing clothes. Sweat rolled down from her forehead to her chin where it dropped one at a time.
Ezinne was also lying down on the pavement outside the house running away from the heat inside.
Someone carried a bucket of water and walked into the compound slowly and leaping.
Ifeyinwa left the cloth she was washing, she wiped her hands on her clothes and ran towards Uju who kept leaping with tears running down her cheeks.
She carried the bucket of water from Uju's head and kept it on the ground.
"What happened to you?"
"Why is your toe bleeding?" Ifeyinwa asked Uju as she kept staring at her toe in pity.
" I... I dashed my foot on a stone at the edge of the stream" Uju answered wiping her tears.
" And you still carried this bucket of water? You should have called me now. Come and seat down here" Ifeyinwa said holding Uju and taking her towards the pavement.
Urenna came out of the kitchen and saw how Ifeyinwa was looking at Uju's foot while tears ran down the cheeks of Uju.
She walked towards them and asked what happened. Ifeyinwa told her Uju dashed her leg on a stone.
Urenna went into the house and came out with an ointment. She applied it carefully on Uju's wound. Uju shouted a bit in pains as Urenna applied the ointment on her legs.
" Be careful next time, you know I don't like it when you're in pains. Don't worry, I will leave the big meat for you today" Urenna said with a smile to Uju.
Uju wiped her tears and joined her sisters as they smiled at her. They know she love big meat.
Ezinne was woken by Uju's little cry of pain. She just lay there observing as Urenna nursed Uju's wound. She was happy with the way she raised her daughters with so much love for each other.
