Today, Kipchimchim Group joined the Tea Board of Kenya and other tea stakeholders at the Momul Tea Factory to commemorate International Tea Day under the theme, “Fostering Growth and Inclusion.” 🍃☕
Led by the CEO of the Tea Board of Kenya, Mr W***y K. Mutai, flanked by the CS Ministry of Agriculture, Dr Mutahi Kagwe, PS State Department for Agriculture, Dr Kiprono Rono, and Senator for Kericho County, Mr Aaron Cheruiyot, the event highlighted the important role the tea sector continues to play in supporting livelihoods, empowering communities, and strengthening Kenya’s economy through sustainable agriculture and global trade.
As Kenya continues to lead as the world’s top exporter of black tea, Mutahi Kagwe emphasized the strength behind the industry, stating:
“Kenya’s position as the world’s leading exporter of black tea is a testimony to the resilience and hard work of our farmers — sustaining livelihoods and strengthening our economy.”
At Kipchimchim Group, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting tea farmers through sustainability, inclusion, innovation, and initiatives that continue to improve livelihoods across our tea-growing communities. ✨
