After I finished a fun, engaged, enlighting guest coaching session.

I took away 3 things from this session.

🎯 Even as a guest coach, you need to know your audience. Learn some of their language and tailor your coaching to them.

🎯 Smaller coaching groups are a lot more fun and engaged than bigger ones.
Some volunteered their profiles for a LIVE walk -through on
They helped me figure out some keywords they would use to find their clients for πŸ’ͺ
They gave each other direction as we went πŸ˜ƒ which means they got what I was saying πŸ’ƒ

🎯 Last but not least. There is reward in the deep end 😊

I have been constantly challenging myself to go waaaay outside my comfort zone.

Every time THAT VOICE INSIDE says I can't do it, I pump myself up, go to the mirror, look at myself, I then say out loud the last crazy thing I thought I couldn't do. I see the realization light up my eyes.

THAT I CAN DO IT AND WAAAY MORE - BUT ONLY IF I CHOSE TO

My client sent this to me. I am sharing cause she has less than 500 connections on her profile and she got profile views exceeding that in just 3 days since we Optimised her linkedIn profile.

SEO plus engagement did that. She posted just once and went ham on engaging with her audience. And that got her comments being seen by more than those in her immediate network.

SECRET? Do not leave one-liner comments on people's posts. Engage meaningfully. Leave comments that make sense. Demonstrate that you understand the topic and contribute to it.

3 days later. 6 booked meetings!! All organic.

I learnt pretty quick how frustrating it is to try convince someone (who in your expert opinion needs your help 😩) but doesn't know it or who is doing pretty well without your help. It's maddening and makes for bad relationships. Cause somehow hard selling comes into play here.

I also learnt the ABSOLUTE BEST LEADS to have are those already aware they have this particular problem and are looking to solve it, one way or another.

There is a train, it's engine and carriage, then there is the stops with all the clients waiting to board.

ENGINE = YOUR ACTIVITY ON LINKEDIN

CARRIAGE = SEO

STOPS= QUALITY LEADS

The engine determines the efficiency of the rest of the train. Same with your activity on LinkedIn. The more active you are, the better your SEO efforts are.

Your activity is the difference between you ranking at the bottom of every search result or the top where your client can see and easily access your profile.

Imagine if the engine kept stopping mid-way between stops (where there is nobody waiting to board) and whizzing at top speed past the stations where the clients are waiting πŸ‘€

CONTENT STRATEGY

Marketing your services on Social Media follows the same guidelines used on any other platform, but with a twist.
Because it is Social Media, PLATFORMS MEANT FOR A 2-WAY INTERACTION between you and your prospects... a lot has to be thought about.

More than the usual funnel strategy you employ elsewhere, your strategy has to cater to your audience's wants (NOT NEEDS)... and that doesn't always mean purchasing your products/service.

So as you prepare what to post, keep this in mind and prepare content that is:
EDUCATIVE
ENGAGING and
PROMOTIONAL

Keep that at the back of your head and think this through. If you already have your Ideal Client as followers, then you need to SHOW UP CONSISTENTLY. So divvy up your content and take advantage of the various outlets: stories, reels, lives...

And as you do that, there is conditioning your audience for your offer, creating awareness around it, making your audience situationally aware of their problem they have and your solution for it.

POINT IS THERE IS A LOT MORE WORK TO YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA than creating an account and getting an audience.
