World Environment Day 2024 commemoration at Bodo, Funzi and Kinazini Islands.

On June 5th, 2024, DiscoverBrands in partnership with Funzi Kinazini Dhow Safari, commemorated with Langues des Champions, Ocean Climate Innovation Hub, Technical University of Mombasa - TUM, Eco-Team, Kifaransa Village., Ukunda Vocational Training Center Environmental Conservation Club and HERI Kenya: Health + Environmental Research Institute. We were also joined by the inspiring women of Bodo and Funzi Island, part of the mangrove restoration team through and Vlider Papariko project.

The day was an adventure filled with fun and learning. We visited Funzi Island and Kinazini Isaland, where we planted over 500 mangrove seedlings. Participants from various sectors shared knowledge as we cruised through the scenic Funzi Lagoon. During our educational dhow excursion, we marveled at the picturesque flora and fauna of Funzi Island and surrounding.
