Daily Devotional – Friday, May 1, 2026
I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions and, like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
Isaiah 44:22 (NKJV)

A man walking in the open when the weather changed abruptly. The sky grew dark, the air was windy, and heavy clouds of mist encircled him. He slowed, uneasy, looking for shelter. Then, just as quickly as it was approaching, the storm shifted. The clouds began to break apart, light pushed through, and the air cleared. He kept walking, but now his shoulders had relaxed. The dread that had gripped him lifted with the clouds.

The Sky is Clear

That is the picture Isaiah paints in today’s key text. God says He has blotted out our sin like a thick cloud. Not reduced it, not covered it temporarily, but removed it in a way that changes the atmosphere completely. What once felt heavy and unavoidable is no longer there. The weight is gone because He has dealt with it.

Daily Devotional – Friday, May 31, 2024
By faith, the pr******te Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.
Hebrews 11:31 (NKJV)

Rahab's story is one of the most profound demonstrations of grace and faith in the Bible. She was a Canaanite woman who worked as a pr******te and lived in Jericho. Rahab's deeds demonstrated that God saves her by grace through faith, despite her upbringing and the culture to which she belonged.

By Grace Through Faith

Rahab saw that Israel was under God's influence when the Israelite spies arrived in Jericho. She pretended that the Lord had handed the territory to Israel, hiding the spies on her roof and lying to the king's men about their whereabouts (Read Joshua 2:11).

Rahab's trust is lauded in Hebrews 11:31. Her faith determined her future, despite her history. This serves as a potent reminder that God does not base our worth or destiny on our history.

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
Psalms 32:7 (NIV)

A woman created a little, quiet corner of her home to escape to every time she felt overwhelmed. She would leave her phone behind, shut out the noise, and sit still before God. At first, nothing around her changed, but something inside her did. Her thoughts slowed, her breath steadied, and the weight she carried didn’t feel as heavy as before.

Learning to Rest When Life Will Not Pause

Life rarely falls apart in a single moment. It happens in waves, and eventually even the smallest of obligations can feel like they are crushing us. Today’s key text speaks with quiet assurance that God is not far away. We tend to try to push through or distract ourselves, but these things do not touch the more profound need. What we need is not just relief, but refuge.

David’s words reflect real experience.

Daily Devotional – Tuesday, June 11, 2024
Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
Genesis 2:15 (NKJV)

God placed Adam in Eden "to tend and keep it." This is not just a call to physical labor but an invitation to stewardship. It reminds us of our larger duty to care for and safeguard God's creation. Because everything we do and every choice we make has an effect on the earth, it is important that we manage our resources wisely.

How to Work and Take Care of ‘Eden’

Furthermore, we frequently see work as a menial chore or a means to an end. However, labor is an act of worship to God, an acknowledgment of His will. We respect God when we approach our work with a heart of service, whether it be in our homes, workplaces, or elsewhere.

Moreover, taking care of God’s creation is not a lonely task. God was with Adam, guiding and directing him. He did not abandon Adam to fend for himself. God is with us as we fulfil the obligations He has for us.

Daily Devotional – Wednesday, February 22, 2023
From the end of the earth I will cry to You. When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalms 61:2 (NKJV)

King David was a believer in overcoming insurmountable obstacles. As a young man herding Jesse’s flock, he killed bears and lions. (1 Samuel 17:34). Before he gained such courage, how often did he need to hide in fear and cry to God for protection from wild beasts?

Triumph Over Insuperable Impediments

In addition, when Samuel anointed David to succeed King Saul, the son of Jesse became Saul’s enemy Number 1. Later when he became king himself, David had troublous days when he had to run from close enemies such as his own wayward sons.

He often found refuge in mountains and caves. While in hiding, he composed songs about God’s ability and willingness to intervene on behalf of His people. Psalms 61 fits into such a context. The psalmist is in trouble and probably far from home and safety.

Daily Devotional – Monday, April 15, 2024
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil.
Psalms 23:4 (NKJV)

Popular, contemporary, feel-good, prosperity gospel teaches that God’s people will have everything going their way if they just believe. In contrast, David asserts that we will undergo difficulties, and when this happens, we must place our confidence in God and keep walking.

Don’t Stop

After affirming that God is His Shepherd and provider, David, assuming the role of a sheep, observes, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” (Psalms 23:4). David knows from experience that God often allows His children to undergo trials and moments when He appears to hide His face.

Christians are not immune to illnesses, family disagreements and breakages, job losses, financial ruin, and the loss of loved ones.

Daily Devotional – Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Psalms 108:13 (NKJV)

A woman in the neighbourhood ran a small food business that suddenly struggled after a long illness drained her savings. Bills began to pile up, customers became fewer, and every attempt to restart seemed to fail. One evening, weary and discouraged, she sat quietly and prayed, speaking to God in a simple and honest way. Not long after, a former customer reached out and connected her to a steady supply opportunity, and her business slowly began to recover.

Trusting God in Difficult Moments

Today’s guiding verse expresses a quiet confidence that comes from relying on God. The psalmist does not ignore effort, but he stresses that victory does not come from human strength alone. The words “through God” change the entire perspective. They remind us that God is not distant. He is present and involved, able to overcome what we cannot.

Daily Devotional – Wednesday, November 5, 2025
Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.”
Psalm 77:10 (NIV)

A young woman once sat by her hospital bed in tears. Months of treatment had left her weak and weary. She prayed but felt as if heaven was silent. Then one day, while reading the Psalms, she came across words that reminded her of everything God had already done in her life. Hope began to rise again.

Hope That Rises From Pain

That is the same experience the psalmist describes in Psalm 77. He feels forgotten and unheard. He prays, cries, and wonders why God seems distant. His heart aches as he recalls the times when God seemed so close. Nothing seems to make sense.

Then something changes within him. He decides to remember the years of the right hand of the Most High. He chooses to reflect on all the mighty things God has done, His wonders, His faithfulness, and His power.

Daily Devotional – Tuesday, April 28, 2026
A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!
Proverbs 15:23 (NKJV)

One evening, a mother walked in and found her son staring at his open book, pencil untouched. She was ready to scold him for wasting time but held back and asked, “What part is confusing you?” He hesitated, then pointed to the page. She pulled a chair beside him, and they worked through it line by line.

Before You Say Anything

Today’s key verse speaks into moments like that. It reminds us that there is a real joy in providing a proper response. Not just saying the right thing, but saying what actually fits the moment. Timing matters. Tone matters. And the spirit behind the words matters even more. A careless sentence can deepen a wound, but a thoughtful one can bring relief.

Most of us do not think of speaking as something we need to work on. Words just come out. Especially when we are weary, frustrated, or trying to prove a point.
