Happy Mazingira Day from Gjenge Makers!

A cleaner environment starts with the choices we make every day. Plastic waste continues to challenge our environment, but through innovation, recycling, and responsible waste management, we can turn this challenge into an opportunity.

At Gjenge Makers, we give plastic waste a second life by transforming it into durable, sustainable building materials. We believe that waste is not the end of the story, but the beginning of something valuable.

This Mazingira Day, let us all take responsibility for our environment. Reduce waste, recycle where possible, and be part of the change towards a cleaner, greener future.

Together, let's turn plastic into purpose.

Hello October!

A new month is here, bringing with it new opportunities to grow, create, and make a difference. At Gjenge Makers, we believe that even the things we throw away can have a second life when we choose to look at waste differently.

This month, let’s be more intentional about how we handle plastic waste. Small actions like proper disposal, collection, and recycling can go a long way in creating cleaner spaces and a healthier environment.
Here’s to a month of progress, purpose, and positive change.

Happy New Month from Gjenge Makers — Turning Plastic into Purpose.

What if the plastic we throw away could become part of something useful? At Gjenge Makers, we are rethinking how plastic waste can be used by transforming discarded plastic into durable paving products. It is a simple idea with a meaningful purpose: give waste a second life while creating value for communities.

By turning plastic waste into paving products, we create an opportunity to keep valuable materials in use and reduce the amount of plastic ending up in the environment. It is about looking at waste differently and finding practical ways to turn a challenge into a resource.
The journey towards a cleaner and more sustainable Kenya starts with how we manage the resources around us. Let’s rethink waste, embrace recycling and keep turning plastic into purpose.

This Sunday, as we take time to rest and recharge, let’s also remember our responsibility to the environment. Properly dispose of your plastic waste and be part of the change. What is one simple thing you are doing to keep your surroundings clean this week? Share with us in the comments.
