Some moments slow you down without asking.

It could be a long exhale at the end of the day. A gentle stretch that releases tension you didn’t know you were holding. Watching the sky shifts from blue to gold as the sun disappears.

These moments are powerful (and often underappreciated) cues to your nervous system.

Something special is truly unfolding.

We have reached up to 20 confirmed participants for the Pan-African AI Governance Forum, and for a first edition, this milestone means more than words can express.

It’s not just about the number.
It’s about the people behind it: professionals, leaders, thinkers, and innovators who believe that Africa should not simply adopt AI… but actively shape how it is governed and used.

This forum was born from a simple yet powerful idea: “Where Human + AI Co-Create.”

Seeing this vision resonate with others reminds us that the conversation we are starting matters.

Across our continent, there is a growing need for practical, human-centered discussions on AI governance, and this forum is our small but meaningful contribution to that journey.

On 23 March 2026, we will come together to share perspectives, challenge ideas, and build a dialogue that we hope will continue far beyond this first edition.

To everyone who has already registered, shared the event, or simply encouraged the initiative we just wanted to say: Thank You for believing in this vision with us.

Your support is what turns an idea into a global movement.

🎟 Registration is still open for those who would like to be part of this conversation: https://lnkd.in/ewRUfBtT

Let’s keep building this dialogue together.

We are now just hours away from The Future of Work and the urgency of this conversation has never been clearer.

Youth+ Africa have opened up A FEW additional seats for those who truly wish to attend but finances are a barrier, message me or Youth Plus Africa.

AI is reshaping industries in real time. Roles are evolving faster than most organizations can adapt. Some professionals are accelerating their growth, while others are quietly realizing their skills may no longer be enough. The future of work is not a distant concept. It is already here and it is demanding new thinking, new skills, and new levels of leadership.

At this event, we’re going beyond surface-level trends. We’ll be talking about RESKILLING and UPSKILLING strategically, navigating mid-career plateaus, leadership evolution, culture risk, and how to remain relevant and resilient in a rapidly shifting world of work.

Here’s the link if you’re the one who needs a ticket and I can’t wait to see most of you tomorrow 👇

I've been reading about mid-career plateau because it is a common, yet deeply frustrating reality for many ambitious professionals, especially women.

Here's a scenario that might be familiar👇

You’ve worked hard. You’ve achieved meaningful milestones. You’re respected, competent, experienced and you know you have more to offer. YET LATELY something feels stuck. The upward trajectory has flattened. Promotions feel slower. The work is less stimulating. The path to senior leadership seems less clear than it once did.

As you reflect on that, I'd like you to realize that in today’s AI-driven economy, that plateau carries even greater weight. Because what got you HERE may not get you THERE. As industries evolve and automation reshapes roles, MID-CAREER professionals are facing tougher questions than ever. They're wondering

🤔 Do I upskill?

🤔 Do I reskill?

🤔Do I reposition myself entirely?

🤔Or do I actually need to pause (take a sabbatical where necessary) and rethink my direction?

Doing nothing, I'm accepting, is also a decision. And in this age of AI, stagnation quietly becomes risk. Skills expire. Visibility declines. Relevance fades.

Together with a few experts, we're fine-tuning an Assessment Framework to help professionals diagnose what’s really happening when they feel stuck. Is it a SKILLS GAP? A POSITIONING GAP? A LEADERSHIP EXPOSURE GAP? Or BURNOUT disguised as stagnation? Sometimes the answer is upskilling. Sometimes it’s reskilling. Sometimes it’s strategic rest. But clarity must come before action.

I’ll be unpacking this conversation at the Future of Work event by Youth+ Africa this Friday, especially what entry-level and mid-career professionals must understand about navigating disruption intentionally.

Grab your ticket today if you feel stuck or aware that something needs to shift because this conversation is for you and the future of work will reward those who evolve consciously. Link 👇

The Future of Work now and it is evolving, are we ready?

I’ll be speaking at the Future of Work Connect event powered by Youth+ Africa on Upskilling and Reskilling, a conversation that’s critical for every professional and organization navigating this fast changing world.

From where I sit, work is no longer static. AI, automation, and digital transformation are reshaping not just what we do, but how we do it and how we grow.

Here's what this means for professionals:

👉 Upskilling helps you deepen and evolve your current expertise, keeping you relevant and competitive.

👉 Reskilling prepares you to pivot into entirely new roles or industries, ensuring long-term career resilience.

For organizations:

👉 Upskilling your teams builds stronger, more adaptable talent pipelines.

👉 Reskilling ensures your workforce can meet evolving business demands, embrace technology, and remain competitive in the market.

I’ll share practical strategies for professionals and organizations to thrive, including frameworks for continuous learning, AI fluency, and building future-ready skills.

Beyond the session, I’m looking to partner with organizations as a trainer and consultant, helping leaders design and implement structured programs to upskill and reskill their workforce.

I believe we can work together to build teams that are adaptable, capable, and prepared for the opportunities of tomorrow. If you'd love to partner with me or work with me as a consultant, shoot me a DM.

My single proudest achievement - without a shadow of a doubt - is the relationship I've built with the woman who's been by my side since my mid-twenties.

As soppy as it might sound, she truly is my definition of home: the brightest light I've ever known and the safe place I run to when life gets hard.

She could not care less about material success, accolades, valentine's day, gifts or designer things. She knew me long before all the Diary Of A CEO craziness, before Dragon's Den, or any financial milestone - and none of those things have ever mattered to her.

What she values is presence, kindness, walking the dog together, sharing the ordinary moments, listening to her, showing love through my actions, and making sure I'm looking after my own peace of mind - she's bothered when she sees that something is bothering me.

Our relationship hasn't been without its challenges, struggles or issues of every kind. And being present enough to meet her needs - when l've had business pressures, problems or worries on my mind - has been one of the hardest things to learn.

As a founder, and someone who is quite public, I can't emphasise enough how important it is to have a strong foundation to come home to - someone who loves you for who you are, keeps you grounded, and holds up a mirror when you need clarity. Loving someone, being loved back, and growing together has changed my life in ways I never expected.

I've genuinely thought to myself, time and time again: "I hope everyone gets to experience love as special and rewarding as this."

And honestly, I still have no idea what I did to deserve her.

We’re trying something new on The Diary of a CEO today.

We’re hosting our first-ever economic debate with two brilliant, but completely opposing minds: Daniel Priestley and Gary Stevenson.

Daniel is a self-made millionaire and entrepreneur who believes capitalism drives success. Gary, a former Citibank trader turned economist, argues that without wealth redistribution, inequality will break the system.

They disagree on everything and in this conversation, no one holds back.

Two experts, two completely different realities. Who will you agree with?

This debate gets heated, and trust me - You don’t want to miss it!

Let me know your thoughts after 👇

As we wrap up 2024, I have taken time to reflect on a worrying disconnect I observed throughout 2024...The blind spot between employer perceptions and employee realities and preferences.

Too many organizations operate under the assumption that their workforce is thriving—across physical, emotional, career, and financial well-being. Yet, when you speak to employees, the story is often very different. This disconnect isn’t just a minor gap; it’s a warning sign.

The REALITY is that most employees are still struggling. Well-being across multiple dimensions has remained low, and this presents a growing risk for organizations that aim to attract and retain top talent in a rapidly shifting workplace landscape.

I believe 2025 must and should be the year of conscious leadership—the year organizations commit to understanding and truly addressing their blind spots. It’s not enough to measure employee satisfaction or provide perks. Leaders need to take focused and deliberate action to transform their organizations into spaces where people can thrive.

Here’s what intentional action could look like:

👉 Look beyond salary and perks. While these matter, they are only part of the equation. Employees want purpose, connection, and a supportive work space.

👉 Invest in well-being as employees’ mental, emotional, and career well-being isn’t just a “nice to have.” It’s a necessity.

👉 Understand the employee experience deeply and remember that surveys and data are just the start. Organizations must actively listen to their people and act on what they hear.

2025 can be a turning point for organizations that choose to lead with more consciousness. The workplace is OVERDUE for reinvention, and this shift starts with leaders—CEOs, managers, and decision-makers—being brave enough to address their blind spots.
