**Location:** Nairobi, Kenya
**Salary:** KES 35,000 Gross per Month

Our client in the Real Estate Industry is seeking to hire a highly organized and detail-oriented **Accountant** to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing property-related financial transactions, supporting project accounting, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing timely financial reports to support business growth and decision-making.

# # Key Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, journals, and financial documentation.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Reconcile bank accounts, tenant accounts, supplier accounts, and general ledger balances.
* Monitor rent collections and maintain accurate tenant payment records.
* Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor company liquidity.
* Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
* Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, Housing Levy, and other regulatory obligations.
* Assist in project costing and project financial reporting for real estate developments.
* Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
* Prepare audit schedules and support both internal and external audits.
* Generate management reports and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
* Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements.
* Perform any other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

# # Qualifications & Requirements

* CPA Part III completed or currently pursuing CPA Part III.
* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
* At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the real estate, property management, construction, or related sector.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
